Hello, I own this amplifier, and I want to perform the manipulation you suggest. On the square pin there are three threads. What to do with the third, please?
As far I remember (I did sell the device) it is 2x + but not sure. It needs only 2 connection because its to activate the coil/relais for the mains switch. You can test what works even with a 9V Block batterie to this square connector. If you hear the relais clicking (on/off) you have the correct.
@@hifiboy3896 Cheers. Already read tgat as a lit if forum posts. But hoped for pictures. Got the theory - but am limited in tools. Most (all I saw so far) of the threads had no puctures. Got the version with the quad plug (3-Lines). Guess I just gonna have to ask a friend with tools to bridge it for me and Ill put a smart plug behind it then.
@@petermewes4552 With bridging and a plug switch between is simplest version. For other you need some skills and soldering. Also you need install the switch and buy or have a 12V / 250 mA (or stronger) plug power suply.
It will work when you connect cinch to a peamp, smartphone, notebook etc. but take care that volume is down then and only slowly increased. You will not see more than the red light if he is bridged already without input signal...
When it has power the red light must go on (or is on). Also you will hear several seconds after power on the speaker (protection) relais switching. If he is not bridged the red light would not go on. More see below in my other reply....
