Don’t think he’s struggling? Also, play against the same team 4/5 times a season they soon realise what you’re going to do. He’s been here 3 years now so it probably is time to freshen it up next season
Seems to be a Celtic curse. Seen so many players have a flier one season then the next just look like somebody stole their talent off them. Celtic just need to focus on getting shots on goal when they have their backs against the wall or when they expect a difficult game.
. @sandersson2813 well, at least our theme song isn't 'Simply the Best'! Since you're on a Celtic channel and obviously not a Celtic supporter, how about disclosing what team of humblebums you do support?
@neckercube1257 Said a million times I don't support a team, I just want to see a better league, but you as a club don't seem interested in that. I wonder why.
I've often wondered why Sandy when you highlight your opinions (some of which i agree with), their limited to one clubs podcasts, there must be SPL sites where your views on change for a better league can be discussed with all the clubs fans who participate in the competition, just comes across that you dislike Celtic and appear disgruntled by their continued success.....that makes me wonder why. Regards.
@kennethturner4041 Perhaps because you're the club with the greatest potential to advocate for changes in the league because you carry the greatest influence. Now both clubs are on the same level of titles, perhaps now is a time to reform the league to something which will lead to greater competition and a more valuable league? We don't want another 50 years of it being Celtic and Rangers winning every year do we?
We have a super squad. I don’t know how we improve it, in the market that we need to shop in. Biggest game of the season so far is getting a result and performance in Zagreb.
Season is like a relay race, we're not 9laying the same 11 all season so all the squad need to adjust to differing challenges throughout the season and there is also player form, fitness and injuries to be considered too. Celtic must adapt and evolve to keep up with demand and the challenges that await.
Experience says calm doon, playing and performing well, but aye, everyone just needs to see through these games and chill without any ott proclamations
I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Rodger’s give Yang the next 6/7 months to prove himself and develop in the squad at RW and then revisit that position come the summer. However, a LW of a different dynamic to Maeda (who can press better than Palma) would be Tisdale’s first big test in that Chief of Football Operations position.
You're wrong Ryan the week is one the Norway Celtic contract holiday points before Aberdeen and rangers dropping points as well keep up the good work Ryan
We need some physical presence in a defensive midfielder. Broony would have sorted out the hammer throwers Shinnie and Nielson who think they are hard men.
What I think we’ll do in the January transfer window 1. Sign a right sided centre back as cover for CCV. 2. Sign a replacement for Hatate as I think he’ll leave in the summer. 3. Sign 1 maybe 2 wingers. 4. Sign a third striker.
As a neutral, here are my (admittedly irrelevant) thoughts: 1. I disagree. Liam Scales and Austin Trusty will work well enough together as a CB pairing, and the January transfer window is no time to identify and successfully acquire a new top central defender. 2. I honestly don’t think a Hatate replacement is needed. I see much more similarities with Hatate and Engels than I do with O’Riley and Engels. A midfield three of McGregor-Engels-Bernardo would do well enough, with McCowan and Holm as cover. I honestly think a defensive midfielder to pair with McGregor or allow Callum McGregor (Celtic’s best player by far) to go further forward in Europe would be far more beneficial. 3. I disagree. James Forrest is still quality, Yang looks very promising, and you obviously have Maeda and Kuhn who are exceptional in their roles for Celtic. I would rather see Celtic give a younger lad from the B team a chance instead of bringing a new winger in from the market, at least in January. 4. Similar to the end of point 3, I’d rather see a younger homegrown lad e.g. Daniel Cummings to be given the chance instead of another foreign import.
@ I can see Welsh and Nawrocki being moved on in January as they don’t seem to be getting any game time, so if that happens then we’ll need another centre back in. Let’s say Hatate does leave in the summer we would only have 4 first team midfielders at the club with 3 of them starting, so imo we need at least 5. James Forrest may be quality and yes I agree that Yang is starting to look a bit better but if we can get or find at least 1 winger that’s better then surely we have to bring them in. Daniel Cummings is out of contract in summer and as things stand he hasn’t been offered a new deal. He also has a few clubs from England looking at him as well.
It's not even about as well as Aberdeen or rangers play. I really don't see this team dropping enough points to let anyone in. HH ryan keep up the good work man
Need to rotate the front 3 alot more to adjust to the opposition. Last night in they conditions Idah should have started. When he came on he was good. Khun and Maeda couldn't get into it. Wee Forrest needs to start more and Yang given a chance. Sometimes the simplest things are better like getting crosses in for the big man rather than constantly trying to pass the ball into the net.
We have the same game plan in all games, why not mix it with long ball and knockdowns so we have a plan b and yes we are successful in the SPL but wouldn't it be wise to confuse the there lot now and again , in Europe if we are high pressed I see a hesitant Celtic , in the SPL most teams now realise what we are about after playing them 3/4/5 times
How can it not get better 😂 half the team could be upgraded, players are flat, only play well if confident, need confidence regardless of form. Could certainly be better but ain't complaining lol
Hi Ryan , the league IS OVER , what title challenge from the huns ? they scored six against my wee hame toon masons , so fkn what , now it's all about how many points we win the title by , also we will score over a ton in the league , so there's NOBODY good enough to challenge us . HAIL HAIL , From , Johannesburg . 😂😂😂🍀🍀🍀🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🎄🎄🎄
Palma has done nowt, zero, zilch don’t know how many times its needs to be said, he’s not interested in doing the dirty side, closing, tracking , defending. He might be the best winger in the world but does not have the work rate for BR…
Rangers could win every game from here on out 6-0 (and they'd have to win every single game) and it would still mean absolutely nothing unless Celtic lose at least 4 games. League is over troops. 🍀🍀
Just to clarify, I am a neutral. Please do not be offended by my comment: I am not a Celtic fan. I am not blinded by bias, and I do not feel the same love that the Celtic faithful do for the club and the players. However, I feel I do have to say this: "Callum McGregor is not irreplaceable." I COMPLETELY disagree with this sentiment entirely. Callum McGregor is by far and away the best football player at Celtic, and is the best player in Scotland and it REALLY is not close. Not only is he the best football player, he is also by far one of the best leaders in world football. I will not accept anything otherwise. I have absolutely no idea why Andrew Robertson remained as the captain of the Scottish National Team. Was he the best player in the team? Yes. That doesn't make him the best leader. You are also seeing a massive decline in Scotland's ability in correlation with the retirement of Callum McGregor. There is a gaping hole in that midfield, and one that I can't see being filled anytime soon. ---- If you do not want to read an off topic paragraph, skip the next one. (Sorry for the essay). --- Kenny McLean is starting for Scotland... Kenny McLean? The guy plays in the EFL Championship for Norwich City.. that's a low standard of football. And for anyone who wants to say that the EFL Championship is a higher standard of football than the Scottish Premiership: no it absolutely is not! They've got FAR MORE finance readily available, yet they would still get beat off teams like Heart of Midlothian and Aberdeen, who do not have the same wage bill or squad value. This comment is now going down a different, off-topic path, so I digress. ---- --- --- --- --- --- ---- --- --- --- --- --- ---- --- --- --- --- --- ---- --- --- --- --- --- ---- --- --- --- --- --- ---- --- --- --- --- --- ---- Back to McGregor: He is without doubt irreplaceable, speaking both logically and emotionally. He is an incredible captain and leader, and the qualities he brings to the Celtic dressing room are more than enough to make him irreplaceable. Factor in his ability as a footballer, one which would allow him to play to a high standard in any competition for any football team in the world, it is clear as day that McGregor is irreplaceable, at least at this current moment in time.
@@sandersson2813 What do you mean, everyone has someone to answer to when employed, with no leader is no direction, partly why Celtic are successful and Rangers aren't, they have no leadership. Imagine a boat without a captain, a plane without a captain etc no how it works lol
@SemtexSteve33 My point is that you shouldn't have a team of weaklings who feel they need a leader to look up to. They should ALL have the ability to lead A football team is NOTHING like a plane or a boat. The football captain is ceremonial. You need 11 players who can follow a game plan and tactics.
@@sandersson2813 But what you are saying is that while a boat needs a strong captain, it also needs effective and efficient workers to maintain the boat’s condition and successfully sail the seas. I understand what you're saying Ryan it's hard to won a treble it will be a bad season of we don't do that and get through to the next stage of a champions League in my eyes
It would get better if Celtic could actually retain players and it would get better if Celtic could attract established talent, but the business model doesnt allow for either.
Terrible that they lost the best centre-half in Scotland in CCV, the best right back in Scotland in A Johnston. the best winger in Kuhn etc etc. Oh hold on... Meanwhile ye have Dessers. 😂😂😂
@heffo67 Ha ha ha. Johnston is not very impressive, CCV is a cast off, and both he and Kuhn will probably be away in the summer. I was actually trying to make a point that Celtic's business model needs to change if they want to improve. Currently their 5 year contract and you can leave after 2 policy means that a team can't be built and maintained. It is contingent on the hopper being refilled with equal or better talent and looking at Engels and Idah that isn't always successful.
Where have you been....i was worried you'd decided your views were not being properly accepted and had taken the huff, great to see you back with one of your favourite comments on the terrible Business Model at Celtic.....mmm. What about that Rangers Business Model.....😆😆😆 sold 5 players for £800,000, had to pay up their contracts, Sima is smashing it at his new club (couldn't afford him) Cerny, when he's not being boooooed is 7 million if they take up the option, no chance. Frimpong could be on the move, bought for £300,000, sold for 11 Million, 30% transfer clause on any future sale....even the sale of Lawell was more lucrative than most if not all SPL Teams Models. But, hey, let's criticise and analyse Celtics. Bless.
@kennethturner4041 It's not a case of whatabouterry Kenneth. I don't think either Celtic or Rangers run a good business model. Celtics model is in favour of directors and bank balance at the expense of the team/squad/stadium upgrade. It's risky, and has seen a steady decline in squad quality since Lennon and Strachan.
