- There are so many radical unique games and cabinets that were made after the Golden Age of arcades. This is definitely one of them and has been on my radar for quite some time! Blasteroids, by Atari was being was released in 1987/88. Unfortunately, this was during the arcade slump... Come see why this cabinet is so freaking awesome!

Quick Arcade Tip!
-Gently use Magic Eraser and Simple Green to get rid of scuffs on decals.
-Simple Green and Bleach help with odors & Simple Green works magic on the outside of cabinets.
-Krylon latex paint goes on thick, and dry's smooth with a foam roller.

This was sitting for a long time. I was happy to get it to someone who appreciated it. You saved it from an owner who didn’t appreciate it and was running it into the ground so to speak. Glad I could help you save it!
Thanks again Steve! 🙏🏻☺️
@@NEONBattleBitch I always tell myself when getting into a project. "If I don't do it, who will?" You're saving a piece of history even if we are the only ones who care.
Awesome work! Thanks for sharing the cab with us! 🙂
🙏🏻👾💜
Blasteroids is an AWESOME game!! Never played it back then, but just discovered it a couple months ago! LOVE it!
I've got one! Got it like over 15 years ago but I fire it up every now and then. I think its a fun game.
Oooo limited edition! Nice pickup! 👾
Such a cool Arcade an awesome piece to add to the collection
I never heard of if game until you talked about it. Looks very cool and I need to try it via emulation.
Wow wish they’d offer this is an collection or by itself on the vcs or console. Looks fun 🤩
Wow! Can't believe you have one. What a find. I recall this in the arcades because of the boss, and the portals. I was always a big asteroids fan. So I bought arcade1ups centipede, which I can at least play Asteroids, Deluxe & Space Dual. Always wanted Blasteroids. Ps. You probably already know this but the Jamma 60 in 1, at least allows you to play GaPlus. I did that mod two weeks ago. Of course to collect and restore an original is the way to go if you can.
I remember playing this only ever in 1 very small arcade about 20 years go that was located in chapple st lenards, uk (merry fields caravan site), sadly 2 years ago when i when back the place had closed down.
Only thing you didn’t mention was the final form which is technically a 4th form when playing 2 players one turns small and the other big you transform into a mother ship. Also you can do a special spin attack when you get that sun looking power up by pushing all 3 buttons at the same time!
Very good point!!! 👏🏻
Thanks for the mention!
Thanks for stopping by! Have always loved your channel 😊
@@NEONBattleBitch Thank you!!
Only 2000? They were everywhere in NY back then. We must've got alot of 'em.
great video. How the hell you record the crt monitor with no flicker?
Lower exposure & use 30fps to shoot :)
Great video as always
Tuckey probably sells his for $3500 🤮
Its a great game. Many of my friends that did not play it back in the day, really gravitate to it.
For sure, very overlooked. It’s always surprising to me when even other collectors don’t know about it!
It really went under the radar. I was lucky enough to have one at my local mini-golf arcade 😆
i picked up one of these a year or ago, in overall slightly worse shape art wise and paid a tad more think 550 ? looking to slim down my game collection and had thinking of flipping it now this makes me want to keep it 😄
i remember playing that game and always liked it. it is good to see it again. thanks.
Damn! I didn’t even know I wanted this game until now. Congrats!
Crazy how overlooked or unheard of this game is! Def belongs in any good collection 😜
@@NEONBattleBitch completely agree!
Holy Shit, this is my favorite video of yours. Thank you for sharing.
Dang it! Now I have to make the next one better! 🤣
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
Fantastic as always!
Blasteroids is a fantastic game and beautiful cabinet. Great pickup!
Tom knows what he’s talking about
Congrats! What a cool pickup! I've seen it a few times but never played it , now you have me interested, it looks fun!
I was lucky enough to have one in my local mini-golf arcade. I always looked forward to playing this and SF2T! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
I have the game Ralph come over any time if you want to play it.
The social club my Dad used to go to had one of these cabinets in the "kids' room", and I used to play it religiously. 30p for a single credit - money well spent.
Great video, I just picked up the same cab. Does your marquee light up?Mine is just a sticker. Thank you James
6:43 A small correction about your describing the 3 types the ship can transform. The speeder, of course, is the fastest and most maneuverable. The medium ship is the one with biggest firepower, not the big one. The big one has the toughest armor and can take the most damage. Thanks for the video.
The best thing about Blasteroids is the two player dynamic where you can combine your ships into one big one and one player becomes the gunner and one the driver. 😀
Fun! I just picked up a SF2 CE that was a conversion of this cab. I love its shape!
I loved this game. I cannot believe you actually found one that was not destroyed or falling apart
Do you have some Metal Slug arcade cabinets???
Yes my Neo-Geo
