Cool facts about house geckos. 1. I lived with these geckos for 37 years. I started hearing chirps six months ago. Don't laugh too much, but I thought I had a nightly 'ghost bird' in my room. I hear bird sounds around me, but couldn't find the source. It drove my crazy for six months! Yesterday I finally discovered these geckos can make loud noise. So yeah, No invisible ghost birds in my room... My whole family was like: 'They can squeak loudly?!' Me: Somehow yes. I guess I forgot to read the patch notes for Earth last year. (Gamer joke) I'm just wondering why they stayed silent for 37 years? Barking lizards isn't something I wanted LOL.
I know!! They’re so harmless and cute! 🥰 we have so many of them here in Florida! It makes my day every time I see one or hear one making that cute little mate-calling noise!
I found one about two weeks ago at the bottom of my steps inside my apartment sitting atop an already-dead cricket. Seeing as how it seemed like they assigned him/herself to pest control, I decided to not even mess with it and let the lil fella hang out. Two weeks later it’s still hanging out and doesn’t even flinch when I open the door lol just turns it’s little head to look at me, then just goes about it’s little life. These little things are so cool lol
I have one in my house, he sucks at his job, i was eating noodles and the lizard grab a cockroach and drop it near my food. I think that lizard hates me
Though they can be effective pest control, they leave poop like birds. Ever since I was a kid, I didn't see them as a free house pet, they would be like how squirrels are. Yet when I moved to the US, I miss them especially by how much roaches there are in some places.
I have 2 of them in my home they have been here for months. I just leave them let them be. The one saw me at the microwave and they run fast are so scared . I will not harm them . They are welcome as long as they don't become more and more but a few is fine . I don't mind them they are cute.
Can someone here in the comments help out with mine?I found a newly hatched house gecko in my house a couple weeks ago.I would say only about 1 or 2 months old and I bought an enclosure and been watering around the sticks and leaves in the tanks for water and humidity. However when I bought some calcium small crickets from petsmart he didn’t eat it I’m afraid he’s gonna die of starvation any tips on what’s the reasoning or any other alternative foods he can eat?

They are great pets, even loose in an apartment they don't get into trouble and usually settle in their favorite spot 👍

Just sweep and mop regularly. Should work fine if your cleaning your house normally.
@@kekero540 If you live in an apartment complex one apartment clean is not enough to keep them away.
I have one roaming free in my apartment and it’s the coolest thing to happen to this place in the two years I’ve lived here lmao
