Thanks, Rally and Joshua! I apologize for the delay in answering. I used to get notices when people commented, but I never saw these. Joshua, I'm not familiar with the M-CR510 and so can't really compare the two. I gotta say, though, that M-CR510 is a slick looking unit! Did you already decide on what to get?
Hi, Justin. Let me check into that (but I'll have to dig it out, so give me a day or two). One note: if you take the feet off, you'll block the air vents that are on the bottom side, so the unit won't cool as effectively.
Justin, the feet are secured with a standard Phillips head screw. On my unit, the screws are very tightly secured, and I didn't actually remove them. Again, though, be careful about overheating the electronics if you decide to remove the feet.
Hello Adam, how's your system been running after almost 4 years or so? I have a question for you on this same system that I've purchased 2 months ago; for the pre-amp outputs, the subwoofer does not seem to produce any signal, I ended up using one of the L/R pre-amp but it does not sound right because they do not produce low frequencies. I thought I did make sure during the setup and had it turned on for subwoofer, any idea? I'm thinking about returning it, blaming defect. Thanks in advance.
Hi, Mjack! I ended up giving the 1504 to one of my brothers, and he's been using it ever since and seems very happy with it. Assuming that it's set up to use the subwoofer, one thing that comes to mind is to check if your speakers are set to "Large" or "Small." In my experience, the auto setup routines will set speakers to large even if they aren't truly full range speakers. A lot of the time, that's why folks don't hear much from their subs. If your speakers are set to "Large," then the only time that any signal will go out through the subwoofer pre-out is when there is a signal in the ".1" channel in a 5.1 audio track. If you set any or all of your speakers to "Small," then any bass below the crossover frequency for those speakers will be sent to the sub. If you don't have full-range speakers, try setting the speakers to small if they aren't already and see if that sounds better to you (and it should definitely start using the sub from the subwoofer pre-out jack). I'd sure appreciate it if you'd let me know if that works. If it doesn't, I can think some more on it. Thanks!

Hi, CB. This video is just an overview that accompanies my Amazon review as mentioned in the "About" section. I welcome you to read that review as it's more comprehensive, and if you have a question about the Marantz - feel free to ask.
Great video, short and to the point while being informative. Thanks
Hey, I hope you'll check this! Do you know/remember if the feet were removable? To squeeze out just a bit more height compacting.
Wow, that user interface looks lite it was made in the '90s.
And I think it's 480i too, so pretty 'jaggy".
Thanks for your review. Great av receiver and a good quality system by the looks of it. ;-)
Can I set a maximum volume for safety against kids turning up too high?
Hi! Yes, you can set a max volume. That's on page 96 of the owners manual. Thanks for asking!
Just bought this receiver as I could not locate the 1604, great little receiver.
hey bud, nice review, i want to run this as a two channel unit, mostly for music, should i go with this unit or the mcr510.
Very usefull, thanks a lot, Adam

i guess it's kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good site to stream new series online?
