those are some special custom made glasses lol and the theme of the show seems like they're trying to show the value of brains vs beauty but the protagonist is pretty, fair and thin which are usually the conventional markers for beauty. She has clear skin and bright complexion so they just put these huge glasses on her face LOL

I absolutely love the female protagonist. I’m really impressed. Lekin yeh sirf uski personality nahi ho sakti. Uska spotlight se chupna, introvert hona, waapis murke koi jawab na dena aur Khud ko mirror mein dekh ke sochne lag jaana symptoms hain mental block ke. Kuch toh rok raha hai usko aage aane mein. Baad mein zaroor koi backstory honi chahiye usko iss tarhan banaane mein. Uski simplicity aur bachpana nazar aata hai jab woh halke se apni baat poori karti hai. The character is well thought out. And the male protagonist too. Because of a bad breakup, he is more drawn to the opposite type of girl. This kind of attraction seems normal, rather than getting impressed by a weirdo for no reason at all, which seems to happen in every drama and movie. This is quite a refreshing show to watch.
Jo bhari bhari glasses hai, while may seem ridiculous and fake, I think she puts them on for the sole purpose of looking weird and unpleasent. Not because the show makes it seem that she needs it.
THE Only way one can be called ugly is with their big fat glasses and and sometimes oily hair 😂😂 and one day suddenly she will stop wearing glasses and will open their hair and she will become beautiful
