Al-jawab al-kafi, 'The Suffcient Answer', is such an eye opening book. I've never read it but instead listened to lectures of its translation specifically the one by Mikaeel Ahmed Smith uploaded in their Qalam Podcast back then. It was meant to be a curative answer to a question and fascinatingly also a preventive measure to the disease whatever it may be. As a medical student, I really appreciate its comparison to a physical disease. The person who posed the question was not complaining like in most medical cases but instead directly asked for a definitive cure like surgery knowing the urgency and magnitude of the disease; if not stopped altogether will lead to cancer and eventually death. The way Ibn al-Qayyim rahimahullah broke down the pathophysiology and explained every possibilities there is is simply mind-blowing to any listener seeking for understanding. The main difference between learning how spiritual disease operates and medical knowledge is that through this book (Al-jawab al-kafi), holistic healing is possible and not just the restoring of one organ of the body. "from the meaningless rituals of all religions" saying this as a christian? really? It's funny because you christians celebrate his birthday every dec 25 like how your god has a birthday? Muslims believe in Jesus though but as a mighty messenger of Allah. Jesus, *son of Mary* , the Messiah came with the same message of all prophets and messengers that came before him that there is no other god besides Allah. Even your bible affirms that Jesus said “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.” And the final Messenger (peace be upon him) was sent and came with the same message as well - how can you accuse the final messenger of a false prophet when he came with the same message. In conclusion, ISLAM IS THE ONLY STRAIGHT PATH TO THE ONE TRUE CREATOR.
