I have this kit and still struggle with the kick. I use the riser and the chain on the pedal is clearing the hoop. But the beater is still striking the head too high. In order to have it strike the center I’m forced to shorten the beater length in the pedal which dramatically alters the throw and power of the pedal :( any suggestions on how to get the beater to strike the center??

@@uwepetersen thanks for getting back to me. But actually this is not my issue. My pedal is clearing the hoop fine. But the beater still is hitting the head way too high on the head. Almost like the riser needed to be another inch higher. So I’m forced to shorten the length of the actual beater so that it hits the center of the head which is diminishing the power of the strike against the head.
@@davegarciaofficial ok Dave, got it. Personally, I don’t care if it doesn’t strike in the center, but I understand that it takes away from the punch of the already very small kick drum. Maybe try another riser or build an extension. The front legs will be a different problem then. The drum should not tilt forward. Let me know when you found a solution. Cheers.

This is right out of the box no muffling factory hats and yes I do use the riser.

Maybe try adding some weight to the top of the beater
