Totally dangerous! Disconnect all the spark plug wires to ensure that no cylinder could possibly fire. Also remove at least one plug from each cylinder to make it a lot easier to turn over the engine and make it more accurate. (I realize this isn't a running engine but no point in teaching very bad habits.)
you prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I love any tips you can offer me
Not trying to be nosey know it all just a little help for you knew guys. If you take out all the top plugs, it will be a breeze to rotate. Sometimes those things can check backwards on you and bump you in the head Otherwise, this was a great video !
Felipe L either way, top or bottom, taking a plug out removes pressure. The advantage of the bottom plugs on Grummans is that you do not have to fight the baffles.
im pretty sure you only connect the red lead to the p-lead and you connect the black and green leads both to ground. You don't connect 2 leads to the p-lead.
The timer has a different buzzing tone for the left and right leads. If you only hook up one lead and leave the other one hanging, then the timer continues buzzing steadily, which is annoying. Takes no time to hook up both on the same post, allowing for greater amount of mental sanity while performing the alignment :-)
We pull the lower plugs so that nothing can fall into a cylinder. Thanks for for the video.
You can do it either way. Top is easier
Beautiful explanation. Would be difficult to find another video explanation of magneto like this. 👍🏻👍🏻

@Jase Khalid instablaster ;)
That is correct , but is more work for the lazy
That belt couldn't be more Murica. Great video! Thanks for the wonderfull explanation!
Like #283. Great video. Believer that humor helps people learn. Just ask Rod Machado !

Cast valve covers on a school engine! Cool! But I have some stamped ones I’ll trade you for.
Didnt get a clear image of the propeller flange markings.
It would be easier to set the timing by removing all the top spark plugs. This will remove any compression in the cylinder.

we do that on our school, and will just check for compression by plugging a thumb or palm on the orifice

Good Comment,, as long as the P lead is grounded it dont really matter what is hook to it

Unfortunately you cannot perform magneto timing with the P-Lead grounded. It needs to be floating so the magneto is live.
It’s probably more clear to say you connect the 2 colored leads to the 2 p leads
I always have mags timed at Walmart
His momma never told him to remove his hat when in a house.
Lol who cares
great video but do something about sound is too loud at intro and outro!
Very GOOD
Hahahaha good job bro, its easy to be understood. You are easy going ... Cool
ho to hell with that get steam engine
🤣🤣🤣
