  • Have you been interested in enrolling in USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) programs, but are not sure how or what programs to enroll in?
Join the National Young Farmers Coalition to learn how you can harness NRCS programs to fund your water conservation and climate resilient farming practices. You will hear from experts who help young and beginning farmers and ranchers enroll in relevant NRCS programs, farmers currently using NRCS programs, and Young Farmers staff working to improve the programs. You will have opportunities to ask questions, share your thoughts, and take action.
Joining us is New Mexico Acequia Association's Director of Programs, Serafina Lombardi. Serafina has deep experience helping farmers and ranchers access USDA programs and resources.
We'll also be joined by speaker Kenneth Alcon, who works as a State Resource Conservationist for the USDA-NRCS New Mexico State Office. Kenneth brings technical expertise about conservation programs like the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), and others!
Our final speaker, Elle Igoe, Cofounder of Solidarity Farm in San Diego currently uses NRCS funding on their farm. Elle will share about their ongoing relationship with USDA and how those resources have helped them run their Carbon Sink Demonstration Farm.
Come with curiosity, leave with more resources and tools!
