No Direct Drive does not make sense let me explain: On a nornal washer the motor is connected to the drum with a belt and the motor is attached to the drum housing that vibrates. Lg Centum : same thing without the belt and a brush -less motor instead of a brushed one. No difference.

Its obvious that LG with nothing in its drum is gonna win against those old two versions that have bricks inside them. Also i personally dont like modern LG washing machines. They look like they are eating fast food everyday. And those two old washing machines are legends. They literally destroyed vintage/collector washing machines (yes i sayd collector, because there are people that actually collect old washing machines) just to advertise their newest washing machine that i bet wont last as long as the washing machines on left and right. Of course im gonna have to say one thing i hate about older washing machines, and that is that the washing machine doesnt care/know that the load is not distriputed well and that they are literally falling apart. That was not problem with my grandmothers old top load whirlpool washing machine, as it had so much space for the drum that it jumping never really occured. It was awesome machine.
