LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ LOVE ❤️ this channel! Wanda, you are so well rounded on information of van life and life in general! Thank you 🙏 so much! Great tips on all your videos!!!! God bless you! I just SUBSCRIBED!!!! YEE 😆 HAW 😊
That's why I am here! Not only for not using the oven in the heat of summer, but I hate heating up the oven for just me, lol. It's such a waste. I have a toaster oven, but I like to keep my options open.
Thanks for the video. I live alone in a sticks and bricks and bake all kinds of things just like you did the cookies. I use silicone muffin cups and make individual muffins, cakes and cobblers. I use a round wire rack from Amazon in the bottom of my pot. Most recipes bake in about 15 minutes. I also like your idea of lining your pot with aluminum foil. I will definitely be trying that as well!
Thank you and your welcome, I did have a round wire rack that probably would work better, I have misplaced it....possibly storage . I think I will go ahead and order another one. 🍪🍪
I have a small oven that is similar to the mini dash, it's 250 watts . I have not baked anything in it as it consumes so much power from the Jackery. I do use it to make my toast.
If your surrounding temperatures are cozy, you can actually bake bread in a cast iron pot (with a lid,) on an elevated rack with just half a dozen tea candles underneath. Thx for this video. We can do far less in a van than we realize.
I live in a mobile home, and my oven works when it wants to. No means to get a new 1 just yet. I have an electric roaster but never used it to bake a casserole or cookies. I'm gonna give it a try now. Thanks.
You Are a genius . Watching your last video with your iron pot I bought one from Amazon and I did some ribeye steak with it tonight. Enjoyed it greatly and I’ve been thinking about buying a little camping album but now I’ve seen you do this maybe I won’t I’ll give that a go, thank you once again. Take care 😊
Thank you ,🍪🍪 Yes I do thinking lining the lid would also help keep the heat in....don't know why I did not think if it ...I will next time ...thanks 😊
Wow. Now I can bake. But. I don't use a big pot for anything. Whata ya think of using a 10'' pan?🤷♂️ I don't want to buy a pot just for 4 cookies. Thank you for sharing.
That is what I have., you can see it in the Halloween video posted on Oct 31. It's very heavy, but I still use it on the butane stove . It seems to not cause sagging or other damage . 😊

Hi Jackie, Welcome to my channel.❤️ I am happy you like my videos and have subscribed to me. 😊😊😊😊
This would be a good alternative to baking in a regular oven, too👍!
I agree 🍪🍪🍪
That's why I am here! Not only for not using the oven in the heat of summer, but I hate heating up the oven for just me, lol. It's such a waste. I have a toaster oven, but I like to keep my options open.
Nice in the summer if you dont want to turn the oven on!
I agree 😊
Wow! Nice to know of a way to bake cookies without an oven! I’d like to attempt to make them vegan!

Good technique for power outages too. As always, practice if you want reliable results.
I really like the idea of baking on the stove. I can't wait to try this.
It works well 🍪🍪
Thank you. I needed this. Had bad luck w candles inside speckleware. Glad to see it works well with butane. Keep 'em coming, please. 🍪🍪🍪
You're very welcome 🍪🍪🍪 I am going to test some cheese/garlic biscuit bread. It will be interesting to see if it works.
Excellent idea for kids on a camping trip. Thank you!🤤😍
Thank you 😊🍪
I use a Dash Mini to make a single biscuit, 1/4cup Self Rising Flour + 1/8 cup Nido (powdered cream) + 1/8 cup water, mix well, cooks in 8 minutes.
I have a small oven that is similar to the mini dash, it's 250 watts . I have not baked anything in it as it consumes so much power from the Jackery. I do use it to make my toast.
I took a second look at mine, and it is a dash... I will need to test to see how much power it consumes ...

Thank you , I have not tried the method with the iron pot and tea candles. Propel have so many good ideas 😊

I love this! I feel like trying it in my Mom's Le Creuset pot! 😅 Do you think lining up the lid with foil too would help?
Thank you ,🍪🍪 Yes I do thinking lining the lid would also help keep the heat in....don't know why I did not think if it ...I will next time ...thanks 😊
Looks good

I think any size pot would be fine as long as you can keep the cookies etc...up an inch or so from the bottom of the pan so they don't burn... 😊😊🍪🍪
@WandaonWheels-ej9rq Thank you very much 😊
I have a cast iron Dutch oven. Is it too heavy to put on a butane stove?
That is what I have., you can see it in the Halloween video posted on Oct 31. It's very heavy, but I still use it on the butane stove . It seems to not cause sagging or other damage . 😊
@WandaonWheels-ej9rq Thank you Wanda!
