    I am still a Nooby but I took your advice about playing scales on every degree of the Major scale, and I'm getting a better grasp of modes. Just that knowledge helped with this lesson, and inspires me to continue on this path. Anyone that is new to piano and jazz really should follow Johnny's advice since it leads to better skills.

    C Lydian ... from scale's point of view, what is the difference between a C Lydian a G major scale?
    thank you.

    • @roncallahan40
      @roncallahan40 3 года назад +1

      You start on c and end on c but then use a raised 4 or f#. It essentially is the forth mode of the G major scale

    • @roncallahan40
      @roncallahan40 3 года назад +1

      It sounds different because when you start on C and end on C your ear is not expecting the F#. So it's sounds like the Intro to The Simpsons

      @@roncallahan40 i think i kind of getting it, thank you very much :)
