When the house is always a mess the children think that that is normal. They dont know that it could be some kind of condition.Your kids are big enough to help you clean and maintain the house.Hope nobody get upset by my comment.

Not upset here and thinking the same thing. Leaving crayons out on the craft table is one thing.....the pizza is another, as well as the toilet paper rolls and tissues on the floor. I'll give a pass on the litter box lol.
You did an amazing job getting this back in shape....but don't forget to take care of yourself and that might mean chore cards for the kids. I mentioned that to a neighbor once and she said that she didn't feel her kids could clean the bathroom properly.....a chore chart with pictures.

I really do wonder why one would come to a cleaning video only to get mad at the mess? That's the point of the video, it's messy and it's being cleaned...
It's so refreshing to see videos with an actual mess to clean rather than all the ones cleaning already perfect homes.
Anyway, I think you did a great job!
The "dump and sort" method is the only way that works for my brain but can also lead to a bit of overwhelm when I start losing steam halfway through the sorting part 😅
And as other have said, I LOVE the bed set up! Such a cool idea.

You’re doing a great job! I love how your dog sits and watches you♥️
I hope your kiddos can learn to pick up as they go and make life a little easier for you and for them! Some of it seems so much harder in the mind than it actually is! Much of it takes literal seconds!
I know it’s easier said than done; I’ve definitely found it much easier to stay on top of things as I’ve gotten older. My kids are grown, married and living in their own homes but I babysit my granddaughters a few times a week and am trying to teach the 2.5 year old to pick up as she goes; one great reason for doing this is so she doesn’t lose parts of puzzles games etc!
Your house is beautiful and that play room with those built in beds is amazing!

No, no and no....be a parent for crying out loud. Snap your fingers at your kids. Time to teach them responsibilities. Absolutely, no playing until you do your chores. You need to be firm. Flip the lights on in the morning, get up.....clean your room and start cutting the yard, raking leaves, washing the car, iron, wash the dog, etc. Everyone has chores. You younger parents are not doing favors for your kids.

@@feraltradwifeThere is a saying in business,”What management accepts, management condones.” So now that you’re on this journey, have them watch this video and talk about what they could do differently from this point on. I would especially emphasize the consequences as a life lesson, like food and crumbs lead to bugs, and kitty may start using the carpet if the box isn’t cleaned daily. Also, show them how to shake a paint brush off,(inside the sink and with your hand over it) but still have THEM wash it off of the walls to instill the consequence, otherwise, someday they will be someone’s clueless roommate or marriage mate.

I think that your “dump and sort” method was the perfect way to clean the various aspects of this room. It turned out great!🙌🏻 Maybe next time, off camera of course, sweep it all onto the rug with a trash bag in the center while the four of you sit on the floor and do the sorting. Use it as a home school lesson to learn how to tackle it step by step, while explaining “keep, toss, donate”.
