It is an excellent achievement (milestone) by the DRDO. Apart from AIP Submarines, India/Bharat needs Nuclear-powered Submarines to not only compete with China but to Defeat/Destroy 🇨🇳 without taking the help of USA or any other 3rd party nation.
Brothers China had already installed AIP in almost all submarines from the last 5-7 years. We are way behind. But let it be now we are coming to track. And I am very happy for it.❤
One point no one mentions- AIP cannot allow a submarine to operate on full load. Like a UPS power system; you can operate the critical control systems but not anywhere near full power. It cannot be used during attack but it can be used to hide undetected from hunter destroyers and search helicopters for long periods without the need to surface which could be critical during battle.
Early Indian navy rejected this and tested, Spain and France, South Korean AIP for submarines but how they convinced now it Foreign lobby is working in defence sectors 😡😡😡🙏 government should Enquiry about this
India takes years to approve project , years to design and years to make, by that time decades has passed and tech is outdated and we end up buying from outside.

India is the centre of the world and will remain so for eternity. Other countries Debt are crazy due to huge military budgets. But India with low research budget is accomplishing such things.
