I think just like d4 era they give the album sequence for their songs. In KTL era ,in my opinion,The albums sequence have this feeling of ending the love (kill this love)but they are going through this stages where they are missing them(dont know what to do), then fully forgetting (kick it) and acceptance and moving on (hope not).

In this era,it was already said that they will be giving songs that will show their vocal prowess. And people want slow songs so they given us slow song s. But i love " really" and "see u later" so much ,i just cant forget.

they shown more on their vocal.. also I got feeling this is more for BlackPink's Coachella & US + Europe concert cos even Lisa singing in this comeback + less of Teddy's style...but it also could be this album is transition from girlie BlackPink to ladies + good way as 'intro' for Rosé & Jisoo solo project...BUT in the end I really glad they didn't do another hardcore drop/banger for next level of Ddu Du Ddu Du, glad they did something more different 💜

the album is okay-ish, nothing special tho and I agree about the order, there is really no story which is maybe not such a big deal but you are right bc there is no logic in the order,
and also thanks for your honest opinion I'm tired of seeing all reaction channels being positive about everything all the time, like they are forbidden from not liking something

Teddy should have just kept the remix in his folder. LMAO. He didn't make it better or at par with the OG. it's just... meh. Those additional instruments and EDM sounds and the transition arent' it. A new song would have been better.

Not gonna lie, this comeback was really underwhelming !!!!!
As a BLINK this CB was kinda disappointing for me. Maybe I was just expecting too much but the songs are very mediocre and don't live up to the standards of Square Up ( again, maybe I'm just holding on to things?). I do understand that this Album was supposed to showcase their "emotional" side and lay emphasis on their vocal abilities and all that jazz. BUT, there's just something MISSING from this album. ALL THE SONGS in Square Up for instance, were so catchy and bop's that I didn't even have to listen to it twice to like them. THIS on the other end feels like a HURRIED PROJECT. If I had to order the songs though from BEST to WORST though it would be:
1.KTL (duh, cuz it's obviously the title track)
2.Hope Not (cuz it's go the feels & really raw and authentic which gets me)
3. Kick It (actually I haven't properly listened to this one)
4. Don't Know What To Do (this straight up sounds like a discarded EDM song or someone who's trying to make it into EDM)

In conclusion, BP don't sound like BP. Can be because their trying to switch things up or trying something new for the themselves as well as the foreign market and listeners? Alas, I will ALWAYS SUPPORT MY GIRLS even if YG produces shitty songs like these for them. Also, I think TEDDY (and ofc all the other producers involved) did quite a LAZY job this time while bringing this album together. Bwahahahaha ^_^ but that's just me.
That's awesome! You're allowed to have your opinion. I personally love this album their most. it's different. It's really different. I felt like square up was a little mediocre. This album has alot of mixed reviews doesn't it.

I honestly like how they’re switching it up. This was my favorite album. I don’t want bp to only be known for hype songs and songs that get overplayed. This is a step for them trying new genres and I love it. Maybe this is another side of bp. I don’t think it’s fair to say this doesn’t sound like bp Bc we don’t know what their fully capable of since they barely have songs. I mean this is only the second album. This album to me worked so well. Bp is showing they don’t need crazy beat drops or hype songs to shine. It showed vocal skills of the under appreciated members like rosé and jisoo. These songs were the best lyrically to me and the producers didn’t do anything lazy. It all flows and it’s a good vibe. No album should have to be the same than the other, it’s good to have a variety. If I want hype songs I’ll listen to square up and it I want mellow slow songs I’ll listen to this album.
I'm so pissed that many fans are not contented with this album. Like common Blinks, our girls did their best for this album, then you wil say you're not happy with it? I think you should be thankful that YG let them do a comeback instead of keeping them in the dungeon. Be appreciative. We're lucky we're able to hear this songs from them instead of none. I DON'T GET PEOPLE, WHEN YG DON'T GIVE THEM A COMEBACK, YOU'RE ALL MAD. BUT WHEN YG GAVE THEM A COMEBACK, YOU'RE NOT HAPPY. REALLY? YOU JUST HAVE TO SUPPORT THEM.
Lol chill people, it may sound hypocritical or selfish IDC, but the album is starting to grow on me. Maybe I was expecting too much from BP and I wanted them to sound the same like before cuz I was too hung up on the previous eras. these past few days have made me realize that this album isn't all that bad. Just lacking in some corners and I was silly not to realize that sooner.
