Thanks Nice and clear demonstration, I have a problem, when I park the vehicle for 8 hours the oil level reach to maximum and once engine starts the oil level becomes at min level... please advise what could be the possible reason...
The most likely reason for the power steering oil reaching the maximum level when the vehicle is parked for 8 hours and then going to the minimum level when the vehicle is started and driven is that there is a leak in the power steering system. When the vehicle is parked for an extended period, the power steering oil settles at the bottom of the reservoir, and any leaks in the system allow air to enter the system, which causes the oil level to drop. When the vehicle is started and the power steering system is engaged, the pump draws in air instead of oil, which causes the power steering to feel weak or "sluggish" and the oil level to drop further
I haven't shoot such video, but the possibility of leakage, is due to some crack , or loose fitting or maybe the yoke is not properly fitted at its place.
Metal shavings in your power steering system could indicate a serious issue. It's recommended to thoroughly inspect the system to identify the source of the shavings. If the damage is extensive, replacing the rack and pinion might be necessary. Flushing the system and replacing the pump alone may not address the root cause.
The heart of the system is the 'rotary valve'. You should explain its part more like torsion rod, the valve holes, why the steering donot ho all the way to extremes and etc...
Sticking or binding components, such as a king pin, ball joint, bell crank or even the steering column can prevent the steering wheel from returning to center after a turn
You must check for leakage, if there is a leak, definitely it will result as a hard steering, the second thing is to make sure there must be enough grease in joints to make the steering smooth, Thanks
Is this a hydraulic power steering and not electronic as in my Toyota etios. I had a contessa years ago but it didn't have power steering and no way to lubricate with steering box oil so I suggested my mechanic who was a bit reluctant but finally agreed to do what I told him, I wanted him to make 2 holes in the rack casing ( housing) and give two grease nipples and after packing grease the steering was smooth as butter. Can I do the same on my etios which has power steering
Great and very clear video. I perceived i interchanged the high pressured lines at the rotary valve section during rack installation, Please i like to know if the the steering system will still work fine ( i mean not hard to turn) if I leave it that way?
Dear both the high pressure lines are same, so there will be no problem (hard steering) if you interchange these lines. The most important thing is tha if you Interchanged the place at valve you must interchange its place at rack too.
My reservoir was leaking from the steering pump, after which i sealed the steering pump (Fixed).. and then the leak stopped.. but the steering is hard after running the car for like 5/10mins it become somehow heavy while the car is on drive(D) and vehicle is stop (lets say a traffic stop and not moving) this is when its becomes impossible to turn the steering. Do you have any ideal the cause or fix for this?
There are several reasons for the problem as you mentioned here, and the reasons are as follows 1.malfunctioning power steering pump 2.worn power steering belt 3.faulty power steering control valve Check these three, hopefully you ll get the main reason for your problem. Thank you
For this we have to dissassemble the whole steering system, and to remove the tie rods, and then we ll remove the oil seals and can replace them. Thank you
The reason could be a damaged or worn-out seal within the valve assembly. Typically, the part that needs to be replaced would be the valve seal to stop the leakage. It's important to diagnose and address the issue promptly to prevent further damage to the power steering system.
My hydraulic steering sound when I turn left and right , recently I have changed steering pump , Can you tell me what is the problem with steering...??
It's possible the whining noise is simply coming from trapped air bubbles in your power steering fluid. If you suspect this is the case, you can confirm it by removing the cap from the power steering fluid reservoir and checking if any bubbles or froth has formed in it.
Facing wobbling in scorpio N hydrolic sterring above 80 speed According to workshop team Every thing is fine like suspension disc plates breakes, tyres Can you help me in this ??
The wobbling in a hydraulic steering system at speeds over 80 mph can be caused by tire imbalance, wheel alignment issues, suspension problems, loose steering components, hydraulic fluid issues, damaged steering damper, wheel bearing problems, brake rotor issues, aerodynamic effects, and wheel/tire issues. I have read your description and it's so tricky to answer as many factors are related to your prob as you have replaced it with new one. The simplest solution is that the vehicle has simply run out of fluid; this could be due to a leak or it could be because you have not replaced the fluid recently. A more serious problem is that the pump itself is failing. Moreover check for reservoir tank, any leakages, power steering belt for wear or aging. Secondly if you think about high temperature, so I want to clear you that at high temperature it works better while at lower temperatures there must be probs due to viscosity (inverse relation to temp) .
Oh so it's an electronic powered. The electric power steering uses an electric motor that draws energy from the vehicle's electrical system to provide steering assistance. Sensors detect the torque or effort that the driver is applying at the steering wheel, and a computer decides how much assist needs to be added. So in short, check the motor and sensors too.

@@automotivespot Thank you in advance for my attention. I want to ask again, is there one O Ring seal inside the torsion bar? And what is the seal that makes the steering wheel heavy? Lastly, have you ever replaced the OnRing Seal? Once again thank you for your attention
There is no such O ring seal in tortion bar. However the vehicles that uses steering systems with tortion bars, there are related seals in relative components. 1. The steering rack in power steering systems has internal seals that maintain hydraulic pressure. If these seals wear out, fluid leaks can occur, leading to a loss of assist, making steering feel heavier. 2 . Seals in the power steering pump can also deteriorate over time. If these seals leak, the pump won’t maintain adequate pressure, causing heavy steering. 3. Leaks at hose fittings (secured by O-rings or seals) reduce hydraulic pressure, contributing to steering stiffness
thank you so much sire very good explenation also you should mention about how the torsen bar work because its the key element of the rotatory valve when the driver exort too much force one the wheel the trsen bar would twist and it will make the orifices in the grooves inside to line up so the fluid will be flowing to the appropriate line depending on if that twisting is to the left or to the right thank you so much very nice video keep up with these videos they are so good and i love them i would like if you mad a demonstration about the automatic transmission and the torque converter thank you so much sir

Fluid is stored in a small tank/bottle which is fitted under hood, it has marks of low and high fluid level, you can refill it from there. Thanks

I have a problem, when I park the vehicle for 8 hours the oil level reach to maximum and once engine starts the oil level becomes at min level... please advise what could be the possible reason...
