To me, painting means visually sculpting an image with as few brushstrokes as possible. No outlines.

I totally agree Roberta! It was Edward Manet who said, "There are no lines in nature, only areas of color, one against another." For my own style of painting I try to live by this. I plan to make a video soon on this subject, stay tooned. Thank you for your comment!

Why is this Fauvism? The only thing that looks like fauv is the colors and this is debateable

I agree that Fauvism was a more direct approach to painting, looser and less refined than what I portray here. Still, much of what I share here applies and should be helpful to those who want to dabble with the style. Thanks again!
