Brings back so many memories as I used to stay in the hotel connected to the Mall in my old flight attendant days. Spent many a great day there shopping, then over to Millers for dinner. 😊 How I miss those days.
It did kinda suck huh, I just was home after school and was just wondering what it's like to have people to hang out with at the mall....all I could do was sit on my computer and play games to pass time. One day I'll be able to make myself pretend I'm young again and walk the malls even though it'll be just me
In the 1990s, Florida Mall was the largest mall in Central Florida. The Aventura Mall in Miami has always been the largest mall in Florida and is the third largest mall in America.
I don't know why (although I think it's the skylights), but this mall slightly reminds me of one of my local malls (North East Mall in Hurst, TX) for some reason. I'll admit, the interior here is a little more bland compared to that mall, though. Both of these malls do have my favorite store (see 9:27, on the left, with the chandelier).
@@LetsWalkTheWorld247 White House Black Market, actually. I love that brand 😍 North East Mall lost its Charlotte Russe a few years ago, I believe; there is a mall closer to me (Hulen Mall) that still has it though. I only shopped Charlotte Russe a few times in college; once I stumbled upon WHBM, my sense of style truly matured. Now that I think about it, the ceilings are a little lower at North East Mall in TX, even if the skylights are similar. I'd definitely look at pictures and videos others have taken.
That’s a good question. 🤔I don’t recall ever seeing it but this mall is pretty big so maybe it is in a section I didn’t walk through. I would double check on their site.
It all depends on what you want to do. You have the Theme Parks, Beaches, Resorts etc. I personally like the Theme Parks and Clearwater Beach…. I will be in England for the month of December.
No it didnt. The dining pavilion was an add on as was everything down on that end. Sears was always at the complete other end of the mall next to JCPenney. I used to work in Sears hardware in the late 90s. I lived in that mall from 1990 until the early 2000s.
It’s all about the path of least resistance…. This part was edited out but a security guard came up to me and said I was not supposed to be filming. This was news to me but I didn’t want to argue with him so I said okay and left.

Love Florida Mall.

As a lonely older teen I never had friends to go out with or a relationship when I was in high school
I’m sorry to hear that

@leonmagnus00000 You should go when you have the chance
I knew this mall was pretty big, but I never expected it to be THIS big!
Good work out while shopping 🙂

Aventura Mall is on my list of places to visit and record for you guys.
I like The Dolphin Mall, which is only five miles from Miami International Airport. It has an IKEA in its car park.
Enjoyed my day at the mall😂
Florida mall has changed so much since I was there in 2002.
I agree.... But that applies for most of Florida. Florida is growing at a rapid pace.
I always wonder who is saying "hun, I'm gonna run to the mall real quick to grab some Swarovski crystals...be right back".
lol
This mall used to be lit until 2013 ish
Which mall you think took its place?
I defiantly gotta check out this mall, since I moved to Florida four months ago does this mall have escalators / upper levels?
It’s a single story so just one floor. No escalators or anything.
@@LetsWalkTheWorld247 still looks nice!

I have never been to that mall in TX so I’m not sure about the comparison. I agree with the blandness as far as the interior goes.
Charlotte Russe?

do they have mobility scooter rentals onsite

Coming here for a few weeks, any places you recommend? Love from England!

Great memories
❤the food court and hot topic
I didn't see the Apple Store, the mall is so huge...
I can’t remember if I walked by it or not.
You are right, the mall is big and like a maze lol.
Was there spencers at the Florida mall?
Yes, I believe it is located by JCPenny and H&M
You have already called you should channel😊
That dining pavilion used to be the old sears store back in the day,
That’s crazy. I didn’t know that.

Used to work in an airbrush kiosk there
That’s pretty cool. Like paintings or shirts?
Dude, why are you walking against traffic? 😂 Also, why only a third of it?

Plain boring malls have no character anymore. Used to work in an airbrush kiosk there.
What was the name of the kiosk?
