I was 20 in 1980 when I thought there was a forest fire goin on in the Sierra Nevada Mountains because of all the smoke. But it turned out to be from Mt. St. Helens. I lived in Reno from January 1980 until August of 1984. I use to camp out on the truckee river and get work out of a place called Casual Labor. It was located on 2nd and Wells. I remember seeing Farrah Fawcett sitting on a bar stool at the Old Reno Casino. She was signing autographs with a crowd of people around her along with a camera crew. Reno is nothing like it use to be. We use to hang out at the Cal Neva Casino. Every morning they would have free bingo along with a free donut and coffee. The Cal Neva opened in 1962. Every year in March the Cal Neva would have there anniversary. During this time all their prices at the bars and in the restaurants would go down to the same as it was in 1962. A 12 ounce bottle of beer was 25 cents and a cocktail was 50 cents. A prime rib dinner was $2.95 The casino we use to go to most often for breakfast was the Gold Dust West. They had everything imaginable in their breakfast buffet. It was only 99 cents for the buffet. For slots, there were two casinos that I thought had the best odds for slot machines. It was Harold's Club and Fitzgeralds. In 1981 I had a job setting up the bleachers at the Reno air show. During my breaks I would talk to some of the pilots. I remember one guy who told me he built his plane himself. It was one of the smallest planes at the air show. He died about a half hour after I talked to him. As I watched him take off, there was a hill off into the distance that he didnt clear and crashed his plane into it. I can also remember my favorite bar and the name of the bartender who worked there. The Burmuda Triangle was a cool bar that had palm trees at the entrance and a terrarium behind the bar. Inside the terrarium was where they kept a boa constrictor. Sometimes the bartender would take the snake out of the terrarium if a customer wanted to hold it. The bartenders name was Brandy. I remember her name because we would roll dice for the music on the jukebox. Then she would ask me to play her favorite song which was called "Brandy" (you're a fine girl) by looking glass. Brandy was also her name. Circus circus use to have some great circus acts but not anymore. Most of everything that I remember about Reno during the 1980s has disappeared.
Man. What a trip. I grew up a half a mi from downtown The big Lady. Statue She ended up by Ridgecrest California. Junction of 14 and 395 CANT Remember the little town. But. I stopped at a junkyard. Looking for some JEEP Parts. And there She was. In back On the ground.
Dionisio yah I have no idea it would be better if they could just put the year on the title and the month and date if they know because if they put 70s 80 and 90s there not telling us what years the footage was actually taken that would help more if they did that but looking at this video I think it might be the late 70s or early 80s.

@@knn4566 The Sahara was only there from '78 to '81, so that narrows it down some.
