It is really nice to see more of your work. I think they are all fascinating including the ones you don’t like much. They tell a story of places, things of interest , and ideas explored. All good. Thank you.
Wells Next The Sea is an artists dream if you like boats, odd you did a sketch there without boats🤣. You have some great sketchbooks and your tours through them show just how special a life story built in sketchbooks can be. Interesting to see your comment on instagram today re colour and wanting to go back to basics with pen work. An old English artist from the early 1900s named Sydney R Jones who toured the country doing pen drawings of villages and houses is the person who got me into trying ink and I now have three or four of his books all from second hand book shops. They look so simple yet in replicating some of them I found just how intricate they can be. I wonder if, in a hundred years time, people will be scouring second hand bookshops for published copies of your sketch books? 😊
HAHA... I doubt that but hopefully my kids kids will have a few to look at. I absolutely love sketchbooks and they are all precious. I did take a fair few photos in Wells of boats but they are yet to be sketched. I'll check out the artist you mentioned as that sounds right up my street. Cheers Graham. Have a fab weekend in the flatlands.
0:08 That can be easily fixed with fabric glue, I used speed-sew quite well, but assume other glues work as well. Very nice watching your sketchbook!! Thanks for the video!!
Can watch these all day long......please share more 😉
Pleanty more vids on the channel. Many more to come. 👍
Thanks for sharing your sketchbook Doug.
It is nice to see some early work and hear your insights as to what learn and like or don't like about them 👍
My pleasure! And thanks so much for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated 🙏

Thank you very much Mary! I guess sketch books are a bit like life. Good bits, bad it's and a lot of learning. I certainly treasure them .
Love it, inspiring us on to get the paints out 🖌
Go for it! 👍👍

Sydneys work is fabulous. I've downloaded some examples for greater study. Thanks so much for that Gordon.👍👍
