Traders for a cause is the big one. Now you know, there isn't many conferences though. Traders for a cause is definitely worth attending.. it's the best one, and you won't see any charlatans showing up either, so people like mambafx etc, you ain't gonna see him.

A beginner shouldn’t be trading with real money. They will blow up with any style. Some of the greatest most profitable verified traders are scalpers and they started that way. Beginners don’t have to lose their accounts unless they choose to trade any style before having real edge and a track record of consistency.
The SMB guy needs to stop projecting his own trading experience onto the rest of the trading world. You can absolutely have edge scalping price action with no news catalyst.
