You gents are forgetting about NIL… having Ivey league schools participating is an unfair advantage financially, by a very significant margin.
There are plenty of excellent students who would have chosen an Ivey league school, if not for their athletic opportunities.
Having HBCUs schools join would at least make completion fair financially for a lot of schools.

That an interesting point all the major powers in fcs are hovering around 10 million in revenue with 2 to 3 million in shared revenue. Ivy League has been very resistant to NIL funding so far and there’s no reported revenue that I have been able to find. If they embrace NIL they could use their financial advantage, but recently it’s been a mass exodus for athletes leaving the Ivy League for money elsewhere I’m pretty sure Princeton is the only team that has been able to retain talent.

At the moment the ivy league teams are not good. If what you're saying is correct and they put a ton of money in their football programs, I think they should immediately go to fbs. But I have a feeling they will continue to not care about football much as fully accedemic schools.
