Things seemed a little fishy with Gary Brevka when I realized he teamed up with Grant Cardone.
“We are using TRT hormone therapy, no big deal there” Proceeds to move on to the next step quickly.
How does brecka have so many mouth breather fans?
Because he’s helped tones of people. Just like Eddie has. The testimonies are online. Do you have people coming up to you saying you helped them like they do? Smells like hate
@@PureDiligence You... don't realize who you're responding to, do you 😂

@@PureDiligenceI love how you present the more “reasonable” advice that your favorite influencer gives rather than the 99% of other stuff people are actually criticizing.
Also Dana White was juicing under Gary Brecka's supervision🙄
Provide any documentation that proves your statement.
Gary literally admitted it in a video going over Dana’s bloodwork
@@cac90277Gary said he was on “TRT” but made it seem like it was no big deal. It’s probably a large part of his progress

Juicing? He is on TRT and was in middle of the normal range (600 Ng/dl) but his free T was in top of the range which is what matter the most. Woudent call that juicing
Everyone wants to claim XYZ diet, workout routine, cold plunge, etc. is the secret and they end up not giving credit to themselves...YOU are the one working out, YOU are the one making the proper food choices and YOU are the one doing it consistently. My buddy likes to take me to his boojie gym with a cold plunge. I love it for the challenge, the sharpening of the mind, and the forced present center awareness. It drives me crazy though because he insists on it directly after the lift session. You have to make false claims and be sensational to get noticed. No one wants to do the slow, boring things to get results.
100%. All that needs to be said. Too many "hacks". The hack is patience and hard work.
A debate between them would be very interesting.
Here’s the thing: there are doctors/ biologists etc.. who are at the forefront of their field pushing the boundaries of what we know. Sometimes they are proven right sometimes wrong. What I don’t find particularly useful is to bring in doctors to throw shade on what they are doing. The time lapse between discovery and being accepted by the status quo is 17-20 years. What would be useful would be to have them both on the show simultaneously debating.
he is not a dr or a biologist. hes has a bachelor degree in biology and calls himself a human biologist, which is not a thing. he also gives some dangerous advice.

I've always wanted Layne's take on some of Gary's crazier claims.
He should do a “what the fitness”episode to rebut the claims Brecka made on the Diary of a CEO podcast. Would watch!
Already did brother
Thanks for clarifying.
So what is bad that gary is talking about? Cold therapy? Sunlight? Heat therapy? People with nutritional deficiencies are going to feel worse off or more likely to have diseases?
Seems to me that most of Dana’s results are attributable to TRT.
"Someone who has a very demanding hectic lifestyle, it's not easy to achieve" - I disagree with that. The hardest part of sticking to a diet is prep and inconvenience, he has a personal chef with him almost all the time. If he was a busy 'normal' person, I'd absolutely agree
Actually he said whet protein into sugar not fat unless that was a different episode I didn't see.
The editing was way off on this one. Just finished it on Spotify, it’s like layne isn’t finish his answer then it cuts to another question.

The real magic is in the diet and exercise not the extra
And the TRT he got put on too

In the ending of videos like this there usually is a clip of you saying "click here to watch rest of the episode" but the link is just to a playlist of all your full length podcast and one has to scroll through a few to actually get to the podcast you want. Its a little bit annoying, and I realize this is the epitome of a first world problem, but I reckon youd get more views if the link was to the actual full length podcast, not just the playlist
In the long run, that isn't true. More people will watch snippets instead of long form. And often, these snippets make you want to seek out the full conversation. It's advertising. Just because you personally prefer it one way, does not mean the 10,000 low-attention-span brainlets swiping through will feel the same.

Layne Norton ? Lol 😆 he really is clueless about so many health and nutrition issues from what I have watch of him. I would much rather listen to Dr Erick Westman, Dr Ford Brewer, Dr Mary Ruddick, Dr Nick Norwich and a lot of others than Layne.
Dana jabbing Test and HGH doesn't hurt. Just exercise and drink lots of water and take a multi vitamin and call it a day, kids. Everything in moderation, meat, fish, veggies, fruit. It's not rocket science.
Remember all the ads for hydrogenated water? What happened to that fad?
What you’re missing is Layne’s back tracking, fumbling, and using the word not impossible or I love the guy. He doesn’t sound confident when asked pointed questions so in my opinion he’s suspect. A man with a big mouth and passive answers lacking confidence is limited. The interviewer did an awesome job, like a therapist, exposing that Layne is a self aggrandizing individual. Say what you want about Gary B, Danna White credited Gary for his health transformation. Here Layne just goes egomaniac and discredits the program Gary implemented by hacking away at the methods.
I conclude that despite having a PHD, Layne is Simple-Minded and envious of others achievements. Where’s his Danna White, celebrity, transformation?
Diet, exercise, and TRT created Dana’s new body. Brecka just convinced him that his BS fairy dust helped.
4:22 Very good point. There is this creation of an illusion that stuff like cold plunges have HUGE benefits and that you must do it or you won't achieve your goals, which leads to a lot of problem, besides the inaccuracy and unscientific claims and the effort/time/money needed to dismantle that bs, like for example people then going out spending a shitload of money that they shouldn't spend on stuff that has minimal impact and on top they neglect the basics that do most of the work. It's really f*d up to lie to people like that and spread all that bs information.
people need to stop getting their nutrition info from podcasters/influencers. Study a textbook and actually learn the science of nutrition, and youll realize how full of $h*t they all are. even chris here a ton of the time, truth be told, is frequently out of his element and sharing marketing-driven misinformation.
I mean yes and no. If you find a legitimate podcaster in there field and are reputable, then that podcaster will more times than not lead you to the papers or text books you can read to find out/ figure out the info for yourself. I’m referring to people like Andrew Huberman and Rhonda Patrick when I talk about legitimate podcasters and not snake oil salesmen.
@@xCANCEROUSJAExThere's an entire subgenre of RUclips videos which is domain experts debunking Andrew Huberman. Which makes sense. He makes claims about the latest research consensus in 100 different fields per month. This is intellectually impossible for anybody except maybe Nature Journal or General AI lol.
@@Jombozeus and there’s an entire section of RUclips dedicated to convincing people the earth is flat…doesn’t mean it’s real or legitimTe. I think Huberman does a good job of letting people know where the science has validity and where the science is not so conclusive. Huberman is by no means an end all be all or an arbiter of science but he seems to be a pretty legitimate person. I also feel that way because it seems like a lot of other public talking heads have nothing but nice things to say about him. If he was pushing a bunch of nonsense or pseudoscience then you’d think Stanford would have cut ties with him soon than later… 🤷🏻♂️
@@xCANCEROUSJAEx He's one of the better people to follow if you must, but I really would take everything he says with a grain of salt. He has brought on notorious pseudoscientists in the past, too. Having said all that forever, he's still going to lead you in the right direction on a lot of things: sunlight, sociality, stress management, etc.

Apparently you aren't familiar with Layne, he does in-depth debunking videos on all of the "protocols." This is just an off-the-cuff interview, he doesn't have all this shit memorized
He’s done multiple videos on Gary’s other protocols, he just doesn’t know the one specific to a client (likely not public). Gary was an insurance adjuster with a bachelors in biology. Layne has a PhD in nutritional science. One person for sure does not know what he’s talking about and it’s not Layne

It’s not intellectually arrogant to call out a charlatan who is talking completely out of their ass.
He's trying to say this stuff isn't that complicated.
Nothing makes me more sure about a Dr when he says “like” as if he is a 13 year girl and comes with NO receipts and NO studies proving his point.
What studies would you like my friend?
Dana distinctly made the claim that nothing he had tried prior to meeting Gary helped him whatsoever, going to world class doctors for decades, etc, so something Gary did made a life-changing improvement in him that no one else was able to achieve… yet this guy, oblivious to that, runs his mouth 100 miles per hour saying absolutely nothing of substance, and suggest “Stop drinking, eat healthy, workout.” Apparently that had not worked…. you don’t know what you’re talking about. There is more to health and nutrition than that, unfortunately.
Testosterone helps. Gary said TRT was no big deal, which is nonsense.
He prescribed him TRT, which arguably makes a huge difference

Dr layne is a legend ive been reading his stuff for 20 years
results are results. Just because it hasnt been studied to the extent he wants it to be doesn't dismiss it. Doesnt mean Gary isnt an snake oil peddler but if someone who is damn near a billionaire gets results he says he couldnt before... says something. Money was no obstacle and he needed Gary supposedly.
Correlation doesn't mean causation. If multiple billionaires got results from a belief or habit then there is potentially something there. If it happens to one person, more data is needed before a conclusion can be drawn from it.
@@aaronpannell6401 agreed, notice how thats still open ended.
Snake oil salesman know how to part people with their money and make them feel like they made a good decision. If it significantly raises appetite. I’m pretty sure that is an indicator of it increasing metabolism which would in turn burn fat…. Idk who this guy is but he’s giving me heavy bro science vibes

Did you miss the part where he said it burns an extra 100 calories at best?
Con man and a snake oil salesman lmfao
The problem with Layne is that he leans on science way too much and view it as the ultimate tool for proof, completely disregarding all the confounding factors, the unreliabilities in studies, the human factor, sponsorship etc etc etc etc. Studies may be a good indicator (if done rigorously which they seldom are) but always point to the "lack of evidence" is disingenuous. But Layne is one of those guys, the Michael Shermer -type, who lives for debunking other people with alternative opinions. That's his whole schtick and it stems from insecurity and arrogance.
He doesn’t disregard those things. And in any case that’s a completely different thing to making scientific claims that have absolutely no basis in the scientific literature. Also Layne often pointing to a “lack of evidence” IS an example of him doubting the reliability of certain scientific studies, the thing you claimed he completely disregards.
What you said is contradictory, because leaning on science involves acknowledging extraneous variables, potential bias, etc. otherwise you’re not engaging in good science. Even alternative opinions and hypotheses need a body of evidence to support them, otherwise they are creating to many weak assumptions. Acknowledging a lack of evidence means being a responsible skeptic and appropriately using Occam’s razor.
Yeah, he kinda does. He's infamous for citing epidemiology and using meta-analysis of epidemiological evidence as the cream of the crop evidence for his beliefs.
Him pointing to the lack of evidence is him nit-picking and ignoring existing evidence because it doesn't suit his narrative.
LMAO. imagine implying that "leaning on science" is a bad thing xD. you cant make this up. Stay in your lane, child.
@@faradaystpete5683 He is only engaging in good faith when it suits his narrative (like in this video with red light. You can find many well-done studies on the effects of red light therapy). He's made up his mind already, and he'll use whatever study he can find that supports his claim, no matter how shitty it is. He's done it numerous times and has been called out on it by many highly credible people. But people do love "debunking" stuff. It has something to do with social acceptance and status; you're the one who spotted the pretty-looking poisonous berry before the entire tribe ate it.

Norton is insanely hot
10.000 calories is actually a pretty believable amount of food and it's not that hard to eat if you're very active and require it
That's 33 McDonald cheeseburgers or 6 medium Domino's pepperoni pizzas. The thought of someone being active enough that they require 33 cheeseburgers or 6 pepperoni pizzas to maintain their weight is nuts.
Maybe for long distance swimmers, but I can't imagine anyone else being calorically neutral and ingesting 10k calories.
There are literally no humans that do enough activity a day to warrant 10,000 calories continuously consumed. Running a marathon only burns about 2500 - 3500 calories and not even ultramarathoners run that much each day.
