Pretty much nailed the South Indian eating style. Kudos to learning the little details about every culture and also educating people about the same while showing yummy food! Love from South India. :)
Thank you Monica! I absolutely loooove South Indian food 💖 I used to work at a vegan South Indian eatery and I learned so much - and then I went to South India and learned (and ate) even more!!!! Such incredible food and flavours!
HONESTLY. THOSE VEGAN EGGZ. Hope you guys enjoy this one!! Will see you next from K👏🏼O👏🏼R👏🏼E👏🏼A👏🏼!! Don't forget to SUSSCRIBE FOR FOOD thank you love you see you SOONS!
Salt and Palm and Lillipad are the only ones open currently. The rest are permanently closed :( For Ethiopian food jambo jambo in Glebe has great vegan options
Gurrlll!! How did the people at the Ethiopian place let you NOT order some shiro?!! It's an absolute essential MUST to round out any Habesha meal!! Alem may have dropped the ball. Bonus vegan fact: Habesha food (cuisine from Ethiopa and Eritrea) is SUPER vegan friendly as the whole region does a religious "fast" routinely (like multiple times per week) during which they traditionally must eat no animal-based foods, so it's basically vegan foodie heaven! Any good Yetsom Bayaynetu (literally meaning fasting {or vegan} combination platter should have some piping hot shiro in the center of the injera. I'm hungry just thinking about it. Oh, actually, I watched your Yum Cha in Sydney video just before, and full disclosure: I think my stomach has been rumbling since like a minute into that. 🤤💜🌱
sorry to be off topic but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my account password. I love any tips you can offer me!
Can you explain the importance of eating with your right hand? I'm ambidextrous, I mostly write with my right hand, but completing tasks (like eating), I'm majority left handed.
piupiu I don’t think vada is ever made with curd, the batter is ground lentils and sometimes rice too! It gets it white fluffyness from being fermented! I used to work in a South Indian eatery, and I reckon a good 99% of all the foods are vegan unless there is obviously a yogurt side or it’s been cooked in ghee which is rare. It’s north India which is very heavy on dairy, south India is actually extremely vegan friendly! So from South Indian foods, I recommend trying Dosa, utthapam, vada and idli! So yum! All should be automatically vegan, even the dipping chutneys! I guess always ask if you’re not sure about a food although I’m pretty confident!
@@itslizmiu Cool! Here in Paris there's plenty of Indian restaurants but heard some comments that they ignore your requests as no yogurt, but will definitely try, will just keep an eye haha. I sometimes get so suspicious in omni places, there is a Wagamama that opened and I know that in England it's super vegan friendly but here I was mistaking lemongrass for fish in my soup, because the staff seemed like they don't give a damn and that fuels my paranoia lol.
People are vegan because they don't want to hurt animals - but meat and eggs are delicious! So for me, it's exciting to have meat and even egg substitutes!

What is the vada made of? I once had one but was afraid that it was made of curd so broke it in half and gave it away, was afraid to try it!
