😂thanks lol
Man if this existed, I would’ve saved soo much time commuting to school

When it comes to extending the L train, I like your idea of a 10th Avenue subway extension to 125th Street in the UWS though this would be ambitious but would provide more coverage and increased capacity on Canarsie, for an southern extension I would recommend restructuring the L route so that It travels underground and shifts under Rockaway Parkway to Canarsie Pier, meanwhile another branch would be built sending it to Kings Plaza via Aveune M (under the creek) and Aveune U terminating between Rite Aid and Walgreens for two train sets going towards Flatbush with stations at Remsen , E 80, E 71 and Mill Ave as the terminus.
@@CR1Creative Well the IBX project will help with the southern part of the (L) but it’s all about increasing capacity because it’s already a frequent line imagine if we didn’t have bumper blocks on each end of the line that’s a lot more capacity that will be used greatly in the (L).
@@Mauricexproductions
Speaking of which I would build a branch of the 10th Avenue subway turning back East-west under 50th Street the line then would be joined with a branch of the SAS as part of a 4 track subway up Northern Blvd after Citified the line would turn northeast and operate along the Whitestone Expwy to around 14th Avenue where it would turn along Cross Island Pkwy and 26th Avenue to Bell Blvd in Bay Terrace.
I wish we lived in a world where we could send the L to the dense development on the NJ side of the Hudson past 72nd st
Yes, all the way to Fort Lee.
I love this idea. The L is a great line and with this extension It will really make it even better.
Right!
So basically the L train will operate under the 10th Ave line from 14th St to 125th St with stops at:
23rd St Connection to the M23SBS
34th St Hudson Yards East, connections to the M34SBS & via a passageway to the (7)
42nd St Port Authority. You can scrap the 10th Ave on the (7).
50th St (added)
57th St John Jay
65th St Lincoln Center West (added)
72nd St with transfer to the 1, 2, 3
79th St for the Museum of Natural History and the M79SBS
86th St for the M86SBS
96th St
106th St
116th St-Columbia University East
125th St-Amsterdam
@@jorgegaston5391 Yep
@@Mauricexproductions one guy said to extend it to 218th St. I say bring it to 225th with stops at:
135th for City College
145th St
155th St
163rd St for the (C)
174th St
181st St Yeshiva University
191st St
Dyckman St
207th St (1)
215th St (1)
225th St (1, MNRR)
You should do a video about the m34/a sbs (and possibly other bad bus routes). It’s always packed, slow and gets stuck in traffic despite bus lanes, and frequencies can be all over the place due to said traffic. This line is super important since it connects 6 subway lines, plus the busiest rail station in the western hemisphere, as well as serving as local transit for the super dense neighborhoods further away from the subway.
At the very least, they could “14th street” it and hope they add good signal priority. Maybe from there, if it needs more capacity, it cooouuld be converted into light rail… Maybe that’s just a fever dream tho.
Thanks for the suggestion I'm going to look into it!
If that's to be considered, why not also consider connecting the L train extension to the planned crosstown line on 125th street?!
It will connect to the crosstown (Q) line forgot to mention that 😅
@@Mauricexproductions And form one giant "loop"; now THAT'S a good idea.
The (L) Train should be extend to 218th Street Upper Manhattan.
Under Amsterdam Ave. I would shorten it to 215th St and build a connection to the (1) or extend it to 225th St and be the 3rd lettered train to serve the Bronx and easy connection to Marble Hill of the Metro-North. Stops would be 135th, 145th, 155th, 168th, 181st, 191st, Dyckman, 207th, 215th & 225th.
The (L) Train to extend to Marble Hill 225th Street The Bronx, transfer to the (1) Train, connect to the M-NRR is not a such a bad idea.
125th Street would have to be elevated, due to Manhattan Valley.
Very interesting great job
Thank you!
I love the line! Thank you for the video. I used to live in the Marcy, and I used to take the L on my way many places, including Casual Male which I think was off 3rd Avenue. My mom used to always say that it broke down a lot because it only had 2 tracks. So a fire or anything totally shuts it down or turns it into a mono-system, as it were. But its an extremely useful line for sure. And you're right that is an ambitious project.
@@Homeadecreator Very Ambitious thank you for the support!
im so ready!!1!1!1
At the very least, you can extend the L to 10 Av and extend the 7 down to 14 St, and connect the two terminus stations.
No matter which way that someone extends the L line the end of the line should have more than 2 tracks, preferably 4 tracks to decrease the time that trains have to wait outside of the terminal!
Especially considering the Second Avenue Subway going to 125 st Nick I don't think going north of 72 street is necessary
We will have to see 😅
I think the station list from 8 Ave to 72 St would need to be 18 St, 26 St, 34 St, 42 St, 50 St, 59 St, 65 St, and 72 St. I dunno if extending it past 72 St would be necessary. I say 18 and 26 cuz a long ass needless stretch would be in place if the L train were go from 8 Av to 23 St on 10 Ave.
Stretching The Stations Far Apart Would Be Better Than Making The Stops So Close Together, Plus It Would Increase Speeds From 1 Station To The Next.
@@harrykatsos I like this it’s very creative especially the 18 St & 26 St
wait is there a source for this planned extension
No just talks and prediction
Sorry for that
Can we get a way from UWS across to Queens/UES? Like 168-Flushing Route?!?!
@@cl502004 Great Question! But the (L) is similar but a lot different than the Flushing Route but I think they probably won’t want to do that knowing the MTA.
IBX to upper Manhattan problem solved due to network effects
@qjtvaddict The IBX will bypass Manhattan and terminate in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. Manhattan haa enough stations as it is.
Agreed
Its 24 station on the L. Not 27
MTA SERVICE BUSES MTA OK
Thanks
BUSES ARE NOTHING MORE OR LESS THAN AUTOMOBILES....
Whst in the hrll are you taking about! So you want to extend the 14 Street Cnr. Like on 10 Avenue. First oo all we have the Broadway Seventh Ave line on Seventh Avenue. The Eighth Avenue Line is one block at most from the Seventh ave Line. That is one of many reasons the IND. Subway never showed a profit. All you are doing is coping one line for another. Do everyone a favor, let the M.T.A. design new lines, it will get done it will take a long time, and coast a ton,but the lines are the ones we need
IMO, I'd like to see it extended into NJ, to the MetLife Stadium and American Dream Mall. I would still have it extended along 10th Avenue, but I would have it branch off after 81st Street.
These are the stops I propose, starting from 8th Avenue-14th Street:
18th Street
23rd Street (Transfer: M23 SBS)
28th Street
34th Street-Hudson Yards (Transfer: 7 train, M34/A SBS)
42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal (Transfer: 7, A, C, and E trains)
49th-50th Streets
57th Street-John Jay College
65th Street-Lincoln Center (Transfer: 1 train)
72nd Street (Transfer: 1, 2, and 3 trains)
81st Street (Transfer: M79 SBS)
86th Street-Riverside Park (Transfer: 1 train, M86 SBS)
*WEEHAWKEN TUBE (Leaving Manhattan, entering New Jersey)*
79th Street-North Hudson Park
75th Street-Bergenline Avenue
68th Street
61st Street-Granton Avenue
55th Street
Union City-49th Street (Transfer: Hudson Bergen Light Rail)
42nd Street
36th Street-Bergen Turnpike
North Bergen-Tonnelle Avenue
Harmon Meadow Boulevard-Meadowlands Expo Center
Paterson Plank Road
*TRANSITION TO ELEVATED*
Meadowlands Parkway
*Crossing Bridge over Hackensack River before returning back underground*
MetLife Stadium-American Dream (Transfer: NJ Transit) *TERMINUS*
As for the design of the stations, I believe Meadowlands Parkway could have a layout similar to that of Old Mill Station on the number 2 line of the Toronto Subway. 34th Street-Hudson Yards, I believe, should have a Jules Verne-like Steampunk design, similar to that of Arts et Meters on the number 11 line in Paris, considering the neighborhood overlooks the Hudson River. 65th Street-Lincoln Center can also have an Art Deco design, with a mural depicting the history of choreography and dance, and even renowned classical music artists such as Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, etc.
This is a good proposal! I love the NJ extension
I would really like to have an NJ extension heck the 7 was planned but they fucked that up. Man wish we had the 7 head to Secaucus Junction instead, but they choose a very infrequent line for something that's very frequent but if they did add a yard, it would probably be the yard NJT has but who knows.
@@ECRALSE40LPS I honestly don’t think the (7) to NJ is going to happen and that’s due to PATH & NJ Transit & Amtrak already doing frequent service to Secaucus Junction & Newark. So I guess the MTA didn’t find it feasible.
Hmm interesting idea can work as an 86th street crosstown line extension of the IBX IBX labeled as line number 9 bergenline ave line subway in NJ Elevated through Manhattan to queens. In NJ to journal sq or via Passaic to Newark then through Staten Island north shore back to Brooklyn automated driverless a giant loop.
@@ECRALSE40LPSwhy not add infill station at Hudson yards for NJT trains??? Cheaper and easier you only need the stations as the tracks are there.
should run to Inwood-207th Street via 10th Avenue local, 11th Avenue local, West End Avenue local, 86th Street local, Madison Avenue express, 139th Street, Amsterdam Avenue local, Dyckman Street, & Broadway, while the (L) should run to Harlem-135th Street via Madison Avenue local.

JOE is My FRIEND OK
Unnecessarily redundant past 72nd St; If I was the mayor I would work in tandem with MTA and state officials to use eminent domain to demolish the low rise blocks of Hells Kitchen between 49/50th along 10th avenue to build a new MSG using tax breaks and neighborhood commitments to then get bonds to pay for this extension. No Canarsie/UWS past 72nd extension as there are more important projects such as SAS and IBX to complete Manhattan and Brooklyn coverage with the exception of Utica Ave.
Unless it’s tied to other lines an express from 96 to 145 would be useful SAS is a failure stop beating that dead horse
So you're saying move MSG 2 avenues west of its previous location? Which was on 8th Ave between 49th & 50th!
