I remember back in 2014 I was sitting in my bedroom spamming buttons on the PlayStation 2 playing ‘SMACKDOWN!!! JUST BRING IT!!!
The series really improved in the late 90s 😍 The Attitude Era was amazing!
Yeah I remember WWF Warzone seemed awesome at the time, and then WCW-NWO revenge came out and I wanted to hate it so much since WWE was my preferred promotion, but the gameplay was so much better. And from that point, WWF made a great move and gave the license to develop WWE games to AKI. I was kinda disappointed that Yuke's took over development, since I thought AKI still had the better engine.

I would have added Body Slam: Super Pro Wrestling for Intellivision, which is not "licensed" but one of the very first wrestling titles ever created (perhaps the first ever)

Just Bring it, Shut your Mouth, Here comes the Pain, SVR, 2006, 2007, and 2008 where amazing, seven consecutive years of great WWE games on the PS2.
Were on a role with 2K22, 2K23, and 2K24 so far too.
I havnt played 2009, 2019 or 2020.
2010-2K17 on the PS3 where good, just lazy. Same game copied over and over with lazy or sometimes no story modes.
2015-2018 on the PS4 were so bad they were borderline unplayable. I'd rather play 15, 16, and 17 on the ps3 where its just 2K14 re-released with half the modes missing. At least those games were playable.
I barley remember the PS1 games, I was quite young at the time.
Warzone was such a bad game. Its crazy how they immediately turn everything around in 2 games. Hiring yukes was a great idea
