    My mate Derek says you can save some cash by making your own torque wrench - he cut a bit of scaffold bar off and extended his halfords socket set bar - best thing is he wrapped it with red electrical tape so that he can use it on live stuff aswell - you chaps don't even have to thank me

      Gonna be that guy though in the comments who everyone loves to see….but aren’t you supposed to start with the least likely conductors to be live?
      So E-N
      E-phases
      N-phases
      Between phases

      @@systemaliveI hear this a lot, doesn’t state anywhere its a requirement and also makes no sense.
      What difference does it make you could have a fault and the N is live.. and if anything wouldn’t you want to know it’s still live immediately instead of waving your probes around a live apparatus testing the normally dead stuff first 🤷🏼‍♂️

    I prefer cutting the insulation before it goes into the panel and just taping the end up and then easily remove it once in the panel

      Same. A rolled up piece of cardboard in the panel hole stops the cable getting snagged and damaged

      I used too, damaged way to many cables that way and now do it this way, enclosures like this don’t matter but the small ones it makes all the difference, different strokes for different folks thou 👍🏼

    What compression tool are tou guys using on the ends of the lugs, and which one is the torquewrench? Been looking into a set of tools but the ones i found from klauke are almost 4k

    why are the neutral cables sleeve as CPC?

      In this project, the load did not require a neutral point, but the cable did contain blue. So workers worked with blue as ground. This is cheaper and more convenient.

    We don’t put crimp sleeves on lugs. With al sleeve a visual inspection of the crimping is not possible. Inspection is required for insurance certificate.

    Don't twist the conductors before inserting them into the crimp lug. When done, it can't form an gas/oxygen tight sealing!

    Assume is to make an ass of u and me as a previous boss told me. Although taking 400ish volts through the heart because you didn't follow safe isolation and assumed it was dead is a little more than making an ass of everyone IMO.
