- Always sad when an airline ceases to exist mostly for the employees and especially when the company has been around for nearly 4 decades! Luckily we have good footage to remember them by snd here you can see a montage of some clips taken at Berlin Tegel airport.

As promised here 5 minutes to remember AIR BERLIN. We wish the airline workers all the very best in finding another job quickly and we wish all our viewers and friends a great 1st weekend of November. We will be back tomorrow with our 5th and final new video for this week.

It's been a tough month or two for aviation. The loss of Monarch and Air Berlin within a few weeks of each other is a real shame. I think I speak for most aviation enthusiasts when I say that it's always sad to see an airline go.

läuft mir ein kalter Schauer einerseits herunter, und andererseits,
ob das nicht vielleicht alles geplant war ? Der Verdacht liegt doch nahe, oder ?
Könnte es etwas mit dem Versuch zur Schließung Tegels zu tun haben ?
Man kann ja mal darüber nachdenken, oder ?

Sad Days for Staff and Customers of airberlin. Nice Video, JustPlanes! Brilliant Pictures of a now- gone big Airline. My little bit of tribute was only to do a little video about the last Flights in and out of Hamburg - but not as good as Your Video of cause.

Thank you for this. Gosh, they tried so very hard to keep it going. When the right decision is the best decision, but the most painful decision...and you do it anyway, you have integrity and some kind o class.

Why did Air Berlin stop operating?
I wanna put a bid on one of these babies now that Air Berlin wont be using them.
Amongst the reasons considered for Air Berlin's poor performance were: crippling debt of over €800m; unclear and rapid strategy changes on routes and advertising; several CEOs over recent years; a five-year-plus delay to the new hub Berlin Brandenburg Airport; failed negotiations to profit from lower fuel prices and the overall harsh competition in the airline industry.
