well it has been a few years since you did this review, and it still comes in handy. I found used one on fb for a couple bills, and your review helped me out a lot! i wish more reviews were done this way. very informative and clear . thanx.
This laptop is a beast, u can play every game with normal settings and get minimum of 120+ fps. It is the best laptop in my opinion if u want something between $800 to $1000. an example, I play GTA V on this laptop with ultra settings and play like 80+ fps minimum. it is a good laptop and u can change RAM whenever u want. and I play CSGO maxed out settings 280 FPS
SERGE if it get’s hot, u can click on the N button on the Numpad which stands for Nitro, and then put it to the max for a few minutes, laptop temperature will immediately go to 40 degrees or sometimes even 35
Love mine.... Can't fault CPU speed... GPU is ok.... For the money it's great... Does hit 92c but no throttling here ... You can turn power down if you don't need turbo.... GPU will still work flat out.... Mine came with 2 x 4gb sticks.... So it was already dual channel so didn't notice a big improvement, but with 2 x 8gb you have plenty to spare ... Very easy to get back off and upgrade it ... It's not perfect, but deffo if it's all you can afford. If you want performance... Get a PC... My boys have i3 and 1650 and they smoke my laptop lol .. but pretty even really in game.
you may need to undervolt this machine first, and 8GB of ram is pointless talking about it, at least 16GB of ram in dual channel is a sweet spot. Whenever you're playing Triple A's game, don't go for maxed out everything, this machine great enough to run those game at medium setting, and most of the game with high setting 1080p. Considered for it's price, this is great for it's value. I'm happy with this machine to date.
@@iskender9854 Not at all. I maxed out the fans, and there you go. No thermal throttling seen. Otherwise you could always opted some other cooler pad or usb vaccum cooler or better yet, combining both of them.
Man this was a really good review, performance, trying to find the throttling, upgrading ram, and everything else. I guess if Acer claims this being a gamer laptop, it shouldn't have all these throttling problems. I'm thinking about buying this laptop now I know what to expect. thank you
Wow thanks for the awesome comment! Consider that almost every laptop throttles now its how they handle the throttle is what you want to consider. Acer isnt the best or the worst, but they can compete so its a good product in my opinion. you all probably dont give a shit but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Frank Major I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I need help. My Acer Nitro 5 has a 120hz display. When I play Minecraft on this computer I get to 100-200FPS, but the hz in Minecraft doesn’t feel like 120hz, but 48-60hz How will I get 120hz in Minecraft?
I will say that I have this exact model and haven't had any issue with thermals. My unit runs freakishly cool even when running Cyberpunk on a mix of ultra, high, and medium settings at 1080 while maintaining above 40fps. I did go into the nitro sense software make sure the unit was set for high performance mode as by default it was set for power saving which did make a huge difference in performance. Mine was also a brand new unit and not a refurbished unit.
Hopefully you can help me bro I just got my Acer Nitro 5, 8GB Memory with a 1650 and I bought GTA 4 on steam but it won't let me load up the game and it's so frustrating. I can play Black Ops 1 and Far Cry 3 on it no problem... Hope someone can help me with this because it's frustrating since I'm new to PC gaming.. HOPEFULLY you can help me bro. How to find out which I have and how to change it? I'm not really into it,but I will get that laptop tomorrow and I want to be prepared for this kinda stuff
you can play on highest settings with no issue and on top of that you could even enhance the graphics by creating higher res models, and designing better textures to get us away from this cartoony look.
@@cartoonxo6136 for the model in the video you get 256gb ssd in the stock config. You have room to add another m.2 drive up to 8tb and a mechanical or sata based ssd. Mechanical 2.5 hard drives are up to 2tb and 2.5 ssds are up to 4tb.
One of my close friends just got this laptop recently and is really liking it. Although I personally feel that its config is a little weird I really like its upgradability options. His machine also seems to BSOD like hourly... We think it's bad gpu drivers as the error is bad_pool_caller, but with the pandemic we haven't yet been able to figure that out for sure.
Well I know its cooling is probably the worst a laptop has ever seen thats gonna be my guess since poor cooling can cause all kinds of issues but if its a driver issue you can try rolling back drivers or experimental driver or 3rd party drivers which ever and its possible it could fix it. I would report back if you ever get it fixed or figure out whats going on. Have you checked the temperatures of it during gaming and before bsod? if you like this kind of content and want to keep in contact id recommend subscribing.
SERGE Yeah for sure I’ll report back as soon as we figure out the issue! I haven’t actually had physical access to his laptop yet and obviously it’s even harder to get that now with the current situation, but in the months ahead if I get a chance I’ll let you know
Ryad Galib which ever laptop you choose... buy another stick of ram. It will make all the difference. Running in dual channel will give you major gains.
I have the RTX2060 version of the 2019 model with the 9300h, I don't have the frame drop issues you have but I have 32Gb ram. If you are noticing frame drops and are on battery, plug it in. If you still have your Nitro, get all the bios updates, this will help. The 2019 models run hotter, it helps to use a stand or even just raising the rear of the laptop about an inch to provide better airflow. I have 2 NVME drives and I have a SATA HD in the 2.5 bay, it is a great storage option for files that don't require speed.
Oh yeah the 2060 version is great, that added performance over the 1650 will be noticeable. also the ram upgrade super useful. I started using a laptop stand for all my machines now. James you seem like a power user may I ask what brought you to my videos?
@@SERGE_Tech I just searched out the 9300 in the Nitro 5, I got the 9300/2060 from Acer in a closeout sale last month and I am still torturing it. Most of the videos show the I-7 version and it is good to see content for the I-5 version.
It can be pretty bad sometimes but by using the 'Nitro sence' softwere (you can open by pressing the button with a 'N') you can customise the rpm of the fans (rotations per minute)

Bro i got a deal of this laptop at 780 US dollars. Additional it has 144hz display with 1tb hdd without ssd. All other specs same as of your laptop. How's it then ?
Would you recommend this for me for playing GTA V and for editing videos in After Effects? And also, can I add 2 sticks of 16GB RAM? A total of 32GB? Btw great video. Hope you notice me
Hey guys! Thanks for commenting both of you! Alexis I have subscribed to you, wondering if you will ever post your vids on your channel? Nikhil did a good job replying to your comments. If you owned Nitro 5 and has thermal problem, just repasted it. Stock thermal is not so good. Want extra 10 FPS on high end games? Just OC the GPU. 500Mhz on Memory clock would be enough.

Single channel or dual? I have the same laptop and I don't really have that much stutter on GTA V with dual channel 4gbx2 of Ram. Ultra settings is used btw.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP!! I recently just ordered this laptop for my ethical hacking class is this a good computer to start that on will it run the programs like Linux and for coding and stuff🥺
For coding and only coding?, if so this will run it pretty good. If not mabe try a think pad, they are affordable and they are business orientated laptops.

ive had this laptop for a long time it has heating problems definetly but i recommend pressing the Special N button on the keyboard which brings up a built in cooling system which you can customize i have it set to max which now it is not as hot as before
I loved the first 2 surface pro products, so compact! Why not get another surface? although if you are more serious about gaming getting a dedicated graphics card is pretty important, you can get a dedicated gpu for your newer surface pro 7 or just save time and get a gaming laptop like this one. Hi, can you please help me with a few questions? Can you change the keyboard light colour? And also if turn off the light can you see which key is which please
@@HiHi-gr7ii for the first question, nope. You sadly can't change the keyboard color because it uses red LED's while having a literal red keycaps. As for the second one, I assume you mean "Are the keys visible with only the keyboard lights on". If so. Yes, the letters are clear.

I use Nitor 5 for work and i had to undervolt it because it gets hot (as the levono gets in gaming) by just working simple tasks.... I think lenovo > acer when it comes to cooling... or maybe it's just the cool software Lenovo has. Its my recomandation after trying the both.... :)
@@SERGE_Tech Manufactures tend to stick to the specs of chipsets or they may be liable. Undervolting is taking advantage of the range of specs a chip can work at, like over-clocking, but takes the chip outside its comfort zone. CPU and GPU will have a range which will differ for each chip based on quality and process. So, it would be nice if they undervolted, but then people would undervolt more and it will increase crashes.

say i have a 16g ram but the GHz is like 2.60 or in the 1. range, will i have gaming issues with the GHz being that low even with 16g ram??..and how much does the machine being like an i5 or i7 matter with those actual specs???
It really shouldnt matter that much, the rule of thumb is if you have to ask it doesnt mater. Basically if you ran at 4ghz then yes you would get another 25% fps boost but most people dont care about that. Like I was gaming on a 10 core recently that boosts up to 5ghz, so there I can see a clear difference but most people dont notice a difference because they could hardly care. 2.6ghz is sorta on the lower end, your games will run great you will be fine but if you care about extra fps or extra smoothness you might not see it here all the time and its also video game specific because some games at 2ghz will run flawlessly while other like RUST may not run smoothly. It really depends on the Game and the system but also on you, how much do you really care to have the best performance? its sorta a hard question to answer, but for me I want the best possible machines, I recently used the alienware area51m r2 that thing has a desktop graphics card and desktop cpu inside its laptop form factor it is one insane machine and you can tell the difference. there will be times when its not over 100 fps but this doesnt matter since you generally dont dip below 60 fps. are you specifically worried about that game? if so how come?
Your gettin low frames per second aka FPS is because when the battery is low that causes that and your not selecting the program you want to use your gpu on nvidia

Hello! So I love your review and I recently bought this (haven’t received it yet) and I’m planning on doing some light vr gaming on it, do you think it will handle?
off wall gaming is like 1-2 hours maybe 3 hours if your game is very low demand on the system like a civilization game. document and internet browsing maybe 3-4hours.
on these kind of more affordable machines its hard to get good battery life. you could optimize the systems cpu ghz to .6 and then lower brightness and maybe get 8hours of usage.
Which one is good ryzen 5 3550h or intel i5 9th gen.. And can u tell me which laptop Battery is good, Asus tuf Fx505dt or Acer nitro 5 core i5 9th gen version. By the way i was talking about the Acer nitro 5 core i5 9th gen Gtx1650 version..
I am thinking of buying this laptop. It was a tough choice not going to lie. I was aiming towards Lenovo Legion y530 but it was a bit costlier with 1050 instead of 1650. So, obviously, I am planning on going with this one. (Also, this comes with international warranty) I have couple of questions though; 1. There are 2 slots for RAM, as it comes with 8GB. Can I install a 16GB RAM and keep the 8GB as well, so that it amounts to 24GB? Or does it require same amount of memory? I have trouble understanding the dual channel single channel thing in RAM. 2. The M.2 SSD slots, how much is the capacity? Can I add 1TB M.2 SSD on both of them?
Hi Serge! I am planning to buy the Acer Nitro 7 which I just saw when we went to the mall yesterday. It's a core i5-9300 with a 4gb Ram and ready for a Ram upgrade. One thing I forgot to know is the screen refresh rate. It is advertised that it has 144hz but I think the one I saw only has a 60hz panel. Does refresh rate matter? (I don't play much heavy games and I just want to play Dota 2 to at the highest settings possible lol)
Hey thanks for the awesome question!!! nice your malls are open? Its ok if its not the i7 it doesnt do much for it if it was. The graphics chip is more important in this case. Now for the refreshrate it actually is noticeable heres the thing if you never tried higher hertz then it wont matter to you, I say you can get the 60hz and it will be fine but if you ever try 120ghz or more its insanely smooth and awesome to game at those higher hertz. If your a serious gamer get the higher hertz it actually improve how you can and could even win you some games. It make me noticeably better at gaming, I went from being average to one of the best... pretty weird but its true. I really hope you enjoyed the video! What other questions do you have? I would probably prefer MSI over Acer but Acer cooling appears to be better then ASUS tuff. Asus tuff cools decently on a desk but not as good on a lap, its because the intake vents are easily blocked with no redundancy. I think if you have your own reasons for liking it it may be fine but it seems gimped at least for the introductory models. There is something going on with the cooling of the device it only fans in one location and shares the heatpipes this is considered somewhat a troublesome design however one thing is for certain the acer nitro 5 is a great bargan its cooling may not be the best but its cost is impressive for what you get. Other reviewers like to note its not there favorite machine but I think some people are too critical... does it game? yes it does, is it perfect no its not and thats fine machines at this price point are never perfect.
sorry for the late comment, but i’d like some help and i thought you’d reply. i’m looking for a laptop that can manage me doing school work on it, while also be able to do some gaming on it. i’ve not done a lot of gaming before because my laptop couldn’t handle it, but i want to get one that can and start gaming. any recommendations? so far my options are either the hp pavilion gaming 15 or this. my budget is £1000-1200
At this point the best thing to do is visit a store that has many different gaming laptops, play around with them get a feel for them then when the time is right zero in on a brand or laptop model you like. Acer and HP have great options for affordable machines it looks like you have a somewhat higher budget then most people this means you can afford a decent machine. Let me ask this, what games will you play because this will determine what you should get. You can opt for a cheap gaming machine with decent hardware specs or you can get a machine that has insanely good quality but lacks a good gpu. On these higher quality machines they aren't terrible at gaming but they cant compete with these cheap machines when it comes to gaming but they excel at everything else. Option 1: There are two camps of thought, get the best hardware specs like ssd, ram, cpu, gpu machine may be up to 2x faster then option 2. or Option 2: get the highest quality machine this would be a machine that has insanely good build quality, with perfect speakers, screen, design and the best support. These machines are the most well rounded and can last 10 years and don't have any glaring weakness like option 1, option 1 only has good internals for gaming and nothing else. option 1 will look somewhat ugly, have terrible sound, could break in a few years.
@@SERGE_Tech I'd like to play AA-AAA games such as GTA, RDR2, COD and those types of games. The reason why I'm confused as to which laptop to get is because I haven't played games on a laptop (besides the Sims 4 hahaha) so Im not sure how much or whether i would actually like it, which is why i thought to get a cheaper gaming laptop that would be capable to also handle my school work. I'm not bothered with the way the laptop looks as ill only be using it at home, the sound performance isn't a major factor although I do like to listen to music from time to time on my laptop. Again, ill be using it for school work too. This will consist of writing documents and making powerpoints, and possibly (but probably not) use more advanced programmes my school asks me to. of course, however * it depends on what games. Some games are insanely demanding. Well used and open box on ebay is a killer value, you dont have to pay the higher new sticker price and still get a good machine, just make sure its lightly used or open box.
I have the same model with 16gb ram, runs smooth asf....i run warframe, warzone, smite at high mid settings!! i dont have any problems...no stutter at all, no performance drops. i have been looking a cooling pad to set up my laptop on...but dont know if this will affect the heat dispersion the laptop does itself. i also will be streaming with this aptop soon, im going to see how well it streams...i think itll be decent.
Hey thanks for sharing, I believe its the 8gb ram, once you upgrade to 16gb it pretty much fixes all issues. Now 16gb ram should be standard. Very glad you are enjoying your machine. I actually on my main machine run 64gb ram because when I am editing I need to make sure I don't run out of memory, video editing takes a lot ram. I am also running on the six core. Although quad core surprisingly keeps up very well. @@SERGE_Tech absolutely! I plan on creating some content myself. Gaming content. I wish I had a better gpu but this being my first gaming PC in general, so I can not complain especially the price...plus its upgradable to a point...sad mobo only supports 32gb ram tho. Im aslo a little disappointed in the fact there is no thunderbolt port...i think thats what its called the port for eGPU.
trust me 32gb is enough I opted for 64gb because I like to max out my potential but 32gb for content creation is really good. yeah its hard to find thunderbolt on entry level devices sometimes mid tier machines will have them but its mostly a high end machine that carrys thunderbolt. My first pc was one that I built at 10 years old back in 2001. AMD athlon 2100+ was the cpu boy was it awesome and left an impression on me.
June 2020, is this still a good choice for a cheap gaming laptop? I can buy it for $675. Anything better for this price or lower? Purchasing it for my daughter who plays games like minecraft, roblox and similar. Looking for new laptop as hers is 4gb Acer and there is a game that requires 8gb. Any advice would be great.
Hey thanks for commenting actually I have some useful information to share with you. Have you tried to upgrade your daughters laptops from 4gb to 8gb? and even though a game says thats the minimum requirement its not always the case. Before you buy a laptop try to play that game that requires the 8gb on her 4gb machine and see what happens its possible it may run decent if not then try to upgrade the ram. If that doesnt help then get a new machine. Its a lil confusing but sometimes the ram isnt the only thing to worry about. Sometimes you also have to worry about the gpu and cpu. Have you looked into these? Standing by to help let me know if you have more questions?
so um im a on a budget and this is what i can afford and i dont have room for a pc. my question is did the fps drops happen very often? and should i upgrade to 32gbs of ram if im only gonna game
the default 8gb ram can work but there are those hiccups that people run into quite often I noticed them my self two but with 16 or 32gb you should be perfect.

Actually yeah, so long as you can get a good price for it, its generally pretty cheap already with the covid crisis it may be sometimes priced higher but if you find a good deal post it here and lets take a look at it. Have you already bought it?
Its pretty good you shouldnt have any issues, although the speakers somewhat underperform. Consider a macbook, compare the sound of both you will know who is the clear winner. The sound on the macbook is breath taking, cant believe how clear and loud it is, although its no acer with its superior gpu. Its a trade off for sure.

Yo. Awesome review. I just got it brand new but Sadly, saw the review just after. I get the same fps drops occasionally. 60 fps to sometimes 5-9 fps. It's really debilitating. Also, disk usage shoots up to a 100% often making even the simplest tasks lag like crazy. It takes 7 seconds to open task manager. You think adding another 8 gigs of ram and an m.2 ssd would help or should I send it back for warranty?
Try the ram upgrade first before sending it back but be careful because its easy to break it. if your version has the hdd replace it for an ssd the storage should not shoot up so high I think you are facing bottlenecks. What games did you had the performance drop in? I wanna make sure I help you right. Oh and if you haven't subscribed yet feel free, would love to have you as a subscriber.

I think it will help a little bit they tend to alleviate but not fix the issues, in the past it made a huge deal like 12 years ago. If it’s a laptop that uses a passively cooled heat sink that’s connected to the chassis it tends to help.
If i decided to change the thermal paste for another one that is more resistant, get a cooling pad and add 8 more gbs of ram will the performance improve?
Oh wow?! you actually sound like your on top of this, actually yes, all those thing will help. Highly recommend you get this machine because I think you'll take good care of it. This laptop is a beast, u can play every game with normal settings and get minimum of 120+ fps. It is the best laptop in my opinion if u want something between $800 to $1000. an example, I play GTA V on this laptop with ultra settings and play like 80+ fps minimum. it is a good laptop and u can change RAM whenever u want. and I play CSGO maxed out settings 280 FPS
all true!!! I only wish they made a metal version with proper insulation so it doesn't get super hot.
SERGE if it get’s hot, u can click on the N button on the Numpad which stands for Nitro, and then put it to the max for a few minutes, laptop temperature will immediately go to 40 degrees or sometimes even 35
Can you play roblox on high graphics?

Wow I actually like the design
Yeah I’m a big fan of the red!

you may need to undervolt this machine first, and 8GB of ram is pointless talking about it, at least 16GB of ram in dual channel is a sweet spot. Whenever you're playing Triple A's game, don't go for maxed out everything, this machine great enough to run those game at medium setting, and most of the game with high setting 1080p. Considered for it's price, this is great for it's value. I'm happy with this machine to date.
yeah true, acer is pushing some sweet deals.
J D How does the cooling work? Any problems?
@@iskender9854 Not at all. I maxed out the fans, and there you go. No thermal throttling seen. Otherwise you could always opted some other cooler pad or usb vaccum cooler or better yet, combining both of them.
J D Awesome. I was planning to max out the fans and use my USB vaccum cooler at the same time. Waiting for my retailer to have this in stock again.

@@HiHi-gr7ii for the first question, nope. You sadly can't change the keyboard color because it uses red LED's while having a literal red keycaps. As for the second one, I assume you mean "Are the keys visible with only the keyboard lights on". If so. Yes, the letters are clear.

I have this laptop, however the GPU is a 1050. What temps do you get on League, for how much time of gaming, and at what settings?

yes but try to make sure the ram is the same specifications including voltage and megahertz

check your temps it could be that its not cooling enough. check the cpu and gpu while gaming using intel extreme utility enable to see if its thermal throttling. Also if you have the 8gb model it will stutter as 8gb is not enough get 16gb.

@@Johnello1 which is the thinnest, your lenovo Y540 or acer Nitro 5 bro?
you should undervolt slightly on the cpu to help with thermals
a hate having to do that... cant they just undervolt it them selfs... I mean for christ sake they built the damn thing.
My Question: It's fine with 16gb ram or need more ram?

say i have a 16g ram but the GHz is like 2.60 or in the 1. range, will i have gaming issues with the GHz being that low even with 16g ram??..and how much does the machine being like an i5 or i7 matter with those actual specs???

The performance is really good on this pc with fortnite I would not worry.
there will be times when its not over 100 fps but this doesnt matter since you generally dont dip below 60 fps.
are you specifically worried about that game? if so how come?
Your gettin low frames per second aka FPS is because when the battery is low that causes that and your not selecting the program you want to use your gpu on nvidia

Hello! So I love your review and I recently bought this (haven’t received it yet) and I’m planning on doing some light vr gaming on it, do you think it will handle?
What's the battery life like if you're just using it for light work like word documents or web browsing? And how long can you get off wall for gaming?
off wall gaming is like 1-2 hours maybe 3 hours if your game is very low demand on the system like a civilization game.
document and internet browsing maybe 3-4hours.
on these kind of more affordable machines its hard to get good battery life. you could optimize the systems cpu ghz to .6 and then lower brightness and maybe get 8hours of usage.

I have couple of questions though;

Unfortunately it's not the core i7 variant
Hey thanks for the awesome question!!! nice your malls are open? Its ok if its not the i7 it doesnt do much for it if it was. The graphics chip is more important in this case.
Now for the refreshrate it actually is noticeable heres the thing if you never tried higher hertz then it wont matter to you, I say you can get the 60hz and it will be fine but if you ever try 120ghz or more its insanely smooth and awesome to game at those higher hertz. If your a serious gamer get the higher hertz it actually improve how you can and could even win you some games. Hey Serge,
How do you consider heating problems in the model..Do u prefer it over ASUS tuf series

@@SERGE_Tech thank you
sorry for the late comment, but i’d like some
help and i thought you’d reply. i’m looking for a laptop that can manage me doing school work on it, while also be able to do some gaming on it. i’ve not done a lot of gaming before because my laptop couldn’t handle it, but i want to get one that can and start gaming. any recommendations? so far my options are either the hp pavilion gaming 15 or this. my budget is £1000-1200
At this point the best thing to do is visit a store that has many different gaming laptops, play around with them get a feel for them then when the time is right zero in on a brand or laptop model you like.
Option 1:
There are two camps of thought, get the best hardware specs like ssd, ram, cpu, gpu machine may be up to 2x faster then option 2.
or
Option 2:
get the highest quality machine this would be a machine that has insanely good build quality, with perfect speakers, screen, design and the best support.
I have same one. And i m getting
130 fps ets2
50-60 fps gta5
130 fps volorant
(All of them in high/ultra graphic)
It is really nice pc.
And the maximum temperature of cpu is 88 degree (in volorant)
But if you decrease the fps and graphics to medium, the temperature will decrease to approximately 80°C
yeah this machine gets a lot of hate it still its a good machine... Thank you for sharing those details this is awesome. If this is your first time here id recommend subscribing.
@@SERGE_Tech done 👍🏻 :d
It can handle todays games easily ??
of course, however * it depends on what games. Some games are insanely demanding. It shouldn't have any issues but you never know and also it depends on your graphical settings, if you max out the graphics in gta or rust it could put some strain on the machine but some people game like that anyway so its not really an issue unless you make it out to be. @@SERGE_Tech subscribed bro I'm buying bro i5 9th means 9300H ? And its good than ryzen 5 3550H?
is this laptop still good to get now a days i don't have to much money but i want to game on a laptop/pc or should i just get something a little more new?
This is actually a perfect machine just for that! Acer has a lot of experience making these machines and its light and fast.
Highly recommend it! Let me know if you have questions I am trying to make this the best possible tech channel. I am always here for you! Hope you subscribe and good luck! :)
SERGE thanks for the help
SERGE that’s a sub from me
I've been trying to find a repairable dealer to buy this but i can't find anyone online.
Well used and open box on ebay is a killer value, you dont have to pay the higher new sticker price and still get a good machine, just make sure its lightly used or open box.
I have the same model with 16gb ram, runs smooth asf....i run warframe, warzone, smite at high mid settings!! i dont have any problems...no stutter at all, no performance drops. i have been looking a cooling pad to set up my laptop on...but dont know if this will affect the heat dispersion the laptop does itself. i also will be streaming with this aptop soon, im going to see how well it streams...i think itll be decent.
i believe your fps drops are software specific.

Is it because you got a refurbished unit? Maybe the defect wasn't fixed yet.
sir , my new laptop used for less than 2 weeks , disk drive is already 56% fragmented, would that be a fraud movement by my retailer?
Well disk fragmentation happens all the time, just defrag the disk to fix it? have you tried to defrag yet?
I really hope you enjoyed the video! What other questions do you have?

@@SERGE_Tech sure. Brother. I just subscribed and thanks for your help . 🙂
You still recommended this laptop today?
Actually yeah, so long as you can get a good price for it, its generally pretty cheap already with the covid crisis it may be sometimes priced higher but if you find a good deal post it here and lets take a look at it.
Have you already bought it?
@@SERGE_Tech Yes, I decided on this laptop, I have it 2 weeks ago and I love it, very good video!
Don’t forget to sub I want this to be the best tech channel possible! Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.
Is this laptop good for music production?
Its pretty good you shouldnt have any issues, although the speakers somewhat underperform. Consider a macbook, compare the sound of both you will know who is the clear winner. The sound on the macbook is breath taking, cant believe how clear and loud it is, although its no acer with its superior gpu. Its a trade off for sure.
I bought this renewed laptop and when I received it does not turn on. Help me
What I can do? I bought it on Amazon
Have you tried to return it yet? have you charged it and do you still have it?
What other questions do you have? I am looking to build a channel and would like to have you as my subscriber! Let me know if you need anything.
@@SERGE_Tech Yo. I actually got another 8 gigs of ram and an ssd and now it's as smooth as a baby's bottom. Thanks anyway and yeah I am subscribed, man. Cheers.

I gotta game on steam I should send you it’s called natural selection 2.
@@SERGE_Tech wow let me look it up right now
I'm considering buying this laptop, will it run the current WoW
Yes it will run it quite well. Wow team spends a good deal of time to run it on igpu systems and these dedicated graphics cards should run quite well.

Quick question:. Can you use a laptop cooler to keep the laptop cool and save fps?
I think it will help a little bit they tend to alleviate but not fix the issues, in the past it made a huge deal like 12 years ago.
If it’s a laptop that uses a passively cooled heat sink that’s connected to the chassis it tends to help.
@@SERGE_Tech what's one way to fix those problems then because I don't want to buy another gaming laptop
Heat is the number one culprit you never know if it will kill a machine prematurely.

you mean 16gb ram? that's what you saying at 4:43
There may have been some anomalies in the process.
Is this good for multitasking? Like running photoshop, illustrator ang google chrome at the same time. I'm planning on buying this one
Yes it should be able to do that quite well but if you run into any problems in the future just upgrade the ram to 16gb and that will boost performance.
