I used to think that the only people that owned Stuart engines were the ones that built them. I see now that is not the case. These videos have given me the push to finish my Stuart double 10V.
Great content as always. I especially enjoy the troubleshooting process you go through with the various types of engines that people send in for evaluation and repair.
Years ago I met a gentleman in Colorado who had purchased burial vault made of fiberglass. This is the box and lid that a casket is placed in at the cemetery here in the U.S.A. It was in his living room of his cabin up in the mountains. He used it for the same purpose as he built radio controlled submarines along with his locomotives.
I just discovered Keith a few weeks ago and have enjoyed every video. Very informative and very smooth delivery style ! Am I the only one that thinks hed be a kick ass Narrator for the Thomas The Tank Engine Series?
That double 10V looks delightful. I love the finish on the cast iron supports and bedplate, as well as the blueish tint on the cylinder cladding. That along with the brass and copper makes this look like a realy splendid engine.
EDITH LIVES!! I was wondering what happened to her. I assumed that she'd been forgotten. Can't wait to see her floating and in steam (crosses fingers). Thanks, as always, Keith.
Bonjour Keith, Being able to ajust a D10 to have the same run on both sides is a real challenge, I knwow, I have three of them, I had no doubt about you skillness, bravo ! So many machines use Stephenson reverse, I do not understand why no one invented a tool with degrees graduation to adjust the excentrics, this is just arithmetic after all if parts are exactly the same machined.. Amicalement, Raphaël
Whenever you speak of the men in white coats, I want to ask if your cat has run away. ;-) I love your asylum though. You have a much better time than basket weavers.

2 videos in a day??? You spoil us rotten!
Can these models be made as larger engines by upscaling ??
Great video! Just wondered if I'm the only 10 yer old who understands Stephenson link valve gear
Would you say that an S50 is a good first time engine? (Can't afford Victoria!)
Yes I suppose it is . . . I once built one in a day from castings to compressed air test {:-)))

Just think, when you are done testing the hull you can turn it into a shrine.
or I can just wallow in it like a Hippopotamus during the hot Summer weather . . . .

I have a bath in the garden to keep the mint from taking over
Why don't builders modify the engine so the flywheel does not hit the ground?
Want one ! Titanic ?
