It is really sad to see that the new consoles barley make a year and than start to fail... atm I would say that aprox half of my repairs are failed caps, fuses,...

Its to protect everything else from burning out. Thats thd point. But yea they shouldn't failing. They care not about quality and to add insult to injury they don't release tge schematics to the public so 3rd party engineers have to reverse engineer.
