I took an honors chemistry class in high school, but to be honest, I hated it back then. I think that had a lot to do with my teacher because he was ready to retire. I'm relearning all the basics of chemistry now because I don't want to be drowning in it in college, and with your help (along with the help of Hank Green's Crash Course Chemistry videos and Sal Khan's Khan Academy), I am beginning to love it. Balancing equations is simply a fun puzzle! It's nowhere near as difficult as it's made out to be, and it's MUCH more fun than people give credit to it!

      Ok i teach u so
When on the right side U have KOH and on the left u have K²SO⁴
So to balance them, out you have to do like this
      2KHO
But......if u put 2 infront of K, the Hydrogen and Oxygen with have 2 so they will be
2KO²H² so on the left side, you will have 14 Oxygen Atoms

Hello, thank you very much, deeply appreciated by my heart. This is beryllian video for every students in highschool or college or universities to learn how to balance the chemical reaction. when I was in highschool and university I couldn't figure out to balance the chemical reaction, but by following the rules ( Metal - Non metal- Hydrogen - Oxygen ) and preactice I am going to be comfortable with balancing. I would like to add, I add Metal and Non Metal according to the place of Metal in periodic table, therefore if the equation has aluminum and pottasium, first I write pottasium in the column. if I have p and cl , I try to write p fristly before cl in the column. If you need more explanation, please send me an email. Thank you again for this outstanding video.

Keep having only one element that's off by just one, and I just get into an infinite loop of rebalancing because that one element cannot be changed without changing 3 others...

I know this comment is 3 years old, but if anyone has trouble like this try working backwards! Find the solution online if you can, or maybe ask a friend, and then try to either work towards that answer or work backwards from it. That method has saved me a lot during pre-cal so I hope it works in chemistry.
