Research has shown that healthy eating, physical exercise, and active reading of topics new to people actively hinders, or outright stops dementia in the brain. Coffee actually dehydrates because it is a diuretic which makes you pass more fluids, so you should actually drink water after it to hydrate. This also helps to rinse coffee off the teeth because it stains them easily if left alone. So, it’s a double whammy.

I had a great aunt Alice who died at 103 not from old age (she still lived ALONE but next door to her daughter) but from a car wreck. She was not driving and it wasn’t a bad one but her skin so thin she bleed too much too quick. She couldn’t see straight ahead in her later years only from her peripheral view and walked like a owl with her head to the side 😂 Her mind was sharp as a tact until her death. She knew her whole family and recalled her favorite story about me as a kid that I didn’t even remember as well as her!!! Had on 3 once high heels at 99 for her brothers funeral - I said Aunt Alice are you wearing high heels … she said well I’m at a funeral arent I? Like duah we are southern ladies and dress for the occasion.

My Grandad is 102 and all I can say is that as long as your grandad's body doesn't give up, it'll be a great ending. At 102 my grandad can no longer hear, can barely see and walking is a daily struggle. He's had no health complications, his body is just getting old and giving up on him but his brain is still all there. Its so sad seeing him everyday like this. Make sure you enjoy the time with him while he's still able to enjoy it too ♥ have a good life
It's called a gift and most love it. At about sixty, both parents are gone, and one by one your friends are moving on. Takes about a year each time you lose one. A year of pushing yourself....I'm 71 and i'd rather be fishin', but since the Empire of Biden, the car's repossessed, soc. security becomes worthless and it's back to the books... funny huh(?)...
We have a 101 year old lady in our aged care,the last year, she's become gnarly, sneaking into other residents rooms, trying to run people down with her walker, calling me bitch face etc. I'm waiting for the Pearly gates to give her an invitation.

Coffee actually dehydrates because it is a diuretic which makes you pass more fluids, so you should actually drink water after it to hydrate. This also helps to rinse coffee off the teeth because it stains them easily if left alone. So, it’s a double whammy.

I had a great aunt Alice who died at 103 not from old age (she still lived ALONE but next door to her daughter) but from a car wreck. She was not driving and it wasn’t a bad one but her skin so thin she bleed too much too quick.
She couldn’t see straight ahead in her later years only from her peripheral view and walked like a owl with her head to the side 😂
Her mind was sharp as a tact until her death. She knew her whole family and recalled her favorite story about me as a kid that I didn’t even remember as well as her!!!
Had on 3 once high heels at 99 for her brothers funeral - I said Aunt Alice are you wearing high heels … she said well I’m at a funeral arent I? Like duah we are southern ladies and dress for the occasion.

I agree with your comment EXCEPT I think “heartbreaking” is way too strong of a word to use in this scenario. This man grew up during the years when putting a pie in someone’s face was a common sight gag on all kinds of comedy/variety shows. So I think he was just making a joke in reference to the cupcake. as long as they can walk or ride a bycycle, they are very strong and happy, after that it gets worse, atleast thats what happend to my grandma

Older people who do this can do more and seem to be happier, but that is what I observe😂
My Grandad is 102 and all I can say is that as long as your grandad's body doesn't give up, it'll be a great ending. At 102 my grandad can no longer hear, can barely see and walking is a daily struggle. He's had no health complications, his body is just getting old and giving up on him but his brain is still all there. Its so sad seeing him everyday like this.
Make sure you enjoy the time with him while he's still able to enjoy it too ♥ have a good life
It's called a gift and most love it. At about sixty, both parents are gone, and one by one your friends are moving on. Takes about a year each time you lose one. A year of pushing yourself....I'm 71 and i'd rather be fishin', but since the Empire of Biden, the car's repossessed, soc. security becomes worthless and it's back to the books... funny huh(?)...

We have a 101 year old lady in our aged care,the last year, she's become gnarly, sneaking into other residents rooms, trying to run people down with her walker, calling me bitch face etc.
