Yeah so is Jordan and Scottie Malone and Stockton Duncan and Pop LeBron and Wade Curry and Klay Every great team has two great players because you can’t do it alone Unless your Dirk😂
Agree 👍 wilt the true gifted freak big man of all time this guy not old enough to do his research im not that old either but I knw my basketball history
I respectfully disagree. Shaq used his size and proved that the into way to stop his was the three point line or to foul him. Wilt played in an era where there were more possessions, therefore it was easier for him to score the crazy amount of points that he did. I'm not downplaying wilt as an athlete, but Shaq secured his dominance on the court, he was an all star from day 1 and he respects the greats that came before him too.
Best story for me was the NBA all star game I think back in 1994. It’s the one one where Pippen wore his all-red signature shoes and won MVP. What basically happened was that in the previous year Shaq played in the all star game as a rookie and didn’t shine much but declared afterwards he would dominate in the next one. A lot of people took some offense to that and we’re talking Hall of Famers. So in the game Shaq had to face a wall of elite big guys which included Hakeem, Robinson, Shawn Kemp and Malone. At one point he had 0-7 on two’s and finished with something like 3 on 15. All that frustration was building up until the last minutes when Pippen threw a lob high and Shaq proceeded to murder Hakeem. The best defending center after Russel. The guy with the most blocks in history and also a guy who was actively trying to shut him down all game. He crushed that dunk with the left while Hakeem went literally flying and everyone went nuts, I saw it live on television from Europe and I woke the whole neighborhood.
@@jeremiah.1008 Don't let Wilt's inflated stats fool you. He played in a weaker era, with fewer talented & athletic players especially guards & forwards, only 8-10 teams, 20-30 more possessions, on the fastest pace ever recorded while playing 46+minutes.
@@billpap.9669 actually the average player was 6 foot 6 back then and he had to go against players like bill russel. Also the fact he played 46+ minutes (although in his peak he played 48.5) is actually more impressive because it shows that he could put down those numbers against good defenders, every night, playing every minute

The weak era debate makes no sense because 20 years from now there will be better technology bigger stronger faster and more skillful players there now and people are gonna start talking about the validity of LeBron or Kobe’s career just like how they’re questioning Wilt and MJ’s.
The scariest thing about Shaq in my opinion is his competitiveness. Most nba players who are 7'0 foot or over, don’t have that need to win. But Shaq being 7'1 and one of THE most freakishly athletic players and being THE most DOMINANT player to ever step foot on the hardwood. Is terrifying, this MONSTER, Will go at you with his mind set on kill mode. That alone is terrifying.
The thumbnail is something else It totally proves that Shaq was not human imagine if he actually extended his game with finesse as well that would be insane
I remember my husband telling me a story about Shaq coming out of LSU... he told his mom... this guy is a monster and will be the most dominant player ever... his mom (a Celtics fan) laughed it off... then she saw Shaq his rookie season and said... "holy shit! Sorry for dismissing your judgement. " ... He was 12 or so... and he doesn't like it when I brag about him ... but my husband Kurt was the best shooter I've ever seen... NBA or otherwise. He never wanted to play on the school team, but NEVER lost a 3 point contest. Averaged 24 points per round for 15 years... think about that for a second.... I watched him hit 47 straight 3 pointers in 2 rounds. Missed the first 3 in round 1... hit last 22... for a 27... then 25-25 for a perfect 30.... WTF??? He always joked about being too short (6'0") and too skinny. Lol anyway... he will give me crap when he sees this 🤣
Shaq is the only player that’s managed to lower people’s opinion of his career AFTER it ended. By being such a jealous insecure hater every time a young player has a good game he’s given everyone a lot more insight as to how it could’ve got so bad with Kobe
I like how causal it was to simply pass over Duncan’s impressive numbers over Shaq’s. GOD HELP the league if Duncan ever had Michaels mentality and shaqs personality
Most dominant ever???? LOL, he could not dominate Hakeem, Robinson, Ben Wallace, Tim Duncan and DENNIS RODMAN!!!!! And no way in hell would he dominate Wilt, Bill Russel or Kareem.
Shaq spent the first decade plus of his career turning whatever team he went to into an almost immediate title contender. I don't think that's talked about enough. Basically, there was a 10 year period where if you had Shaq on your team, you felt pretty damn good about your chances. Went to 6 Finals in a decade and won 4 of them.
Shaq 3rd best player ever. So underrated in my opinion for his sheer dominance, the guy doesn't fit into the modern 3 point era either where shooting is most valued as a talent so he's undervalued. I just think he's that damn good.
Man, I wish Andre and Shaq were of the same era. ( And Andre getting into basketball instead. Although Shaq proved you didn’t have to be able to shoot to be great) Would’ve just been interesting to see how two giants of ridiculous size and strength would play together or better yet how they’d play versus.
