This song was made during the pandemic when we were locked down it helped so many get through it. Plus Michael Jackson's family loves this song so much they praised these guys alot. They do alot of MJ moves it's just incredible. Bts fans called Army ages and genders have no limits I'm 32 and been an army since they debuted in 2013. Bts has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists there so diverse and versatile as well. They are so much more then pop they have a wide range of genre's.

I think I faintly remembered hearing this song somewhere, but as far as the group goes I’ve never really followed them or heard any other songs. But I really enjoyed this one and I’m excited to get into some more, better late than never I guess 😂

I'm a 71 year old guy from Chicago. And BTS is my favorite music group. I've been following them for more than 3 for years.
Dynamite was made as a way to cheer people up. During the pandemic. It is not by any means typical of their musical style. It is their first all English song.
I hope you delve into the discography further. I think you will enjoy the variety that they have.
I would suggest Mic Drop the Steve Aoki remix as your next venture.

Finally, someone my age in yrs and BTS years as well( but mine were closer to 2019,who cares!). What would you recommend next after Mic Drop? Classic old school BTS," Danger", " Hip Hop Phile", or maybe " Ma City"? _Ya know, the Busan concert had a lot of great songs in it,the mixture is eclectic at its best. Showing all different genres of their music. That would be a good concert for any new ARMY to watch, let alone someone who's never heard them before. And it's BTS at their very best, I think. Just my opinion though. Have a good one!🫡

Exactly as you said, an uplifting funky song to cheer people up in the pandemic. I am a fifty year old ARMY (fandom name, acronym for Adorable Representative MC fir Youth) from UK. A die hard metal and rock chicken I would have laughed at anyone who said I would fall for a KPop group from South Korea. But this group is incredibly special and I hope that you will dive down the rabbit hole and discover that for yourself. There is nothing more wonderful than reliving my journey through new reactors who come to realise how talented and amazing these young men are. They started out with a bias towards hop hop but cover practically every genre you can imagine. Their fully English songs are not their typical deep and heartfelt lyrics. They all write, compose and produce and are true musicians and artists who share their thoughts and inner fears with us. To get an idea of their diversity of music I recommend BTS Festa Room Live 2021. It is a selection of snippets from their B sides from 2013 to 2021 performed live. It has English CCs. Su scribing in the hopes you will check out more BTS.

60 year old ARMY here. I have been an ARMY for 5 years now and just love these guys. The music draws you in, but their personalities make you stay. They are humble and have not forgotten where they came from. Their bond with each other and their fans has never been matched. I reccommend watching live performances. They go all out live as their concerts are amazing. It is long, but the MAMA award show from 2019 will blow your socks off, and yes. It is a 45 minute award show performance. There ones from 2017 and 2018 are fantastic too. The Grammy Award show from 2022 is worth looking at too for another English song, Butter. Of course, the standard to see who they are and their bond is to watch Taylors Guide to BTS. For recent solos check out RM's Wildflower, Jhope's More or Arson, Jimin's Like Crazy and Set Me Free Pt 2, Jin's The Astronaut, and Suga/Agust's Haegeum and Amygdala. You will really see the guys artistry!

So glad you reacted to a BTS song! This song is one of their few fully English songs, produced during the pandemic to encourage people. Most of their songs have a mix of Korean and English or Japanese. They are a South Korean group with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, who dance and have an amazing stage presence. You can learn more about the group by watching A Guide To BTS: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. Other song suggestions: Mic Drop, On Kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan, Boy With Love, Dope, Not Today, IDOL, UGH!, RUN BTS, Film Out, Best of Me, Fake Love, and so many more. ARMY is the name of their fandom, and we will help answer questions about BTS. I hope to see more BTS reactions from you soon!💜

This is one of their more pop sounding songs and 1 of 3 fully English songs. Usually they will mix English and Korean throughout their songs. Since there is 3 rappers and 4 vocalist they have a lot of variety within their group and solo albums. Their most recent song Take Two was to celebrate their 10 year anniversary as a group. Some songs I think most people enjoy:
    -Run BTS
    -Blackswan
    -On (kinetic manifesto)
    -Mic drop
    -Ugh
If you want to learn more about the group itself there are some introductions or guides made by fans you could watch. My favorite and I think most accurate is Taylor’s guide. Hope you keep reacting to them and enjoy your journey. 💜

71 year old BTS Army here. "Dynamite" is BTS's first Grammy nomination. They now have 5 nominations, and 2 are for collaborations with Coldplay. "Dynamite" is the first of three all English feel good songs released during the pandemic for their fans known as "Army". The second of the three songs called "Butter" was also nominated for a Grammy the next year. They have 11 American Music Awards including "Artist Of the Year" and 12 record setting Billboard Awards. They have over 700 awards globally and one of the biggest and most active fandoms worldwide.
They are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists from South Korea and they debuted 10 years ago as of June 13th.
They all will be enlisting in South Korea's mandatory military service before the end of this year. Two have already done so. They are completing solo projects before enlistment. They will reunite in 2025. They have a very strong and emotional connection with their huge Army of fans and Army will be waiting for them with open arms. 💜

  • @tammarabg8174

Thank you for your reaction. BTS debuted 10 years ago this month, and have over 300 songs in their discography. They started as a hip hop group, but have expanded into other genres. They, and their company BigHit (now Hybe) were underdogs in the Korean music industry. They interacted with their fans through various social media platforms which attracted an international fan base. They have developed a very strong parasocial relationship that runs both directions. They announced a year ago that they would be on break, as they have to serve the mandatory military service. Two members are already serving, and the remaining five will enter before the end of the year. However, the members have been keeping us very busy with their solo projects. We have had four albums this past year, along with some singles, and other projects. One of the rappers, Suga (aka Agust D and Min Yoongi) has a world tour, including 11 shows in the U.S. I am 63 y.o. and I attended his Oakland concert. I was there shouting and singing all of his songs along with ARMY.
    Some random things...
--BTS stands for BangTan Sonyeondan which translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts.
--ARMY is the fanbase. The name is in all caps because it is an acronym that was created in July 2013. Adorable Representative MCs for Youth.
--You may see purple hearts, the phrase Borahae/I purple you in the comments. It is a compliment, and it has meaning to ARMY.
--Lyrics are important to us. (Thank you for having them on). There are layers to BTS songs. What appears to be a romantic or break up song frequently has other meanings--tied to events. BTS also has songs that deal with mental health and socio-economic issues.
--I see comments about playing the video to the very last second. BTS MVs frequently have a little something--sometimes a BIG something--at the end. In this case, V (Taehyung) does a little nod--which ARMYs recognize his humor. BTS also has a storyline--an alternative universe--that includes some of the MVs and in the final seconds there are hints and plot twists.
--ARMYs are already asking you to watch BTS guide videos. My suggestion is, if you are interested, to watch a few more music videos/performances to get an idea of the types of music they make, and the abilities of each of the members.
--Oh, do not try to use hair color to tell them apart--that changes with the seasons.
--BTW, we will watch reactions that are over an hour. We once watched an animation of a cube of butter melting for an hour.🤣
Also, ARMYs are notorious for long comments. Sorry. Not Sorry.

Thanks for giving BTS a chance. Always remember to have subtitles on & just when you think the video is over, it's not, so always wait. BTS consists of 3 rappers-RM, Suga & J-Hope and 4 singers-Jin, Jungkook, V & Jimin. These guys are MULTI-TALENTED, yet remain humble & caring. Their choreo is always on point, their songs mostly have deep meanings, & many link together. They love their fans (called ARMY), & each year in June they spoil ARMY with FESTA-special releases, videos, songs, etc. June 12, 2023 was their 10th anniversary so a lot going on the entire month. They released a new song, which the live clip is awesome, called "Take Two". Jin & J-Hope are now performing their mandatory military service so they & the others have been doing solo projects until they all serve & can perform as a group in 2025. Suga is on his world tour now. I could recommend many songs as they cross so many genres. If you want to get to know who they are & how they were not just handed this fame, how they worked hard for years & continue to, please react to A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. It sounds long but goes by quickly. Taylor's video is very good. My personal fave is Save Me omv, but also like ON: KINETIC MANIFESTO FILM COME PRIMA, Festa 2021, Mic Drop, Black Swan, & the list goes on. Welcome to the biggest group in the world, with a global and social impact that have already changed history and music forever.
    No joke.
Guinness has already inducted them into their hall of fame for breaking dozens of world records and they are well on their way to becoming the most awarded musical artists in global history. And they are still young.
This song is one that I love but not typical of their sound. It was a pick-me-up for their fans during the pandemic. Most of their music is in Korean or Konglish (Korean + English) which is typical of Korean popular music. Their roots are deeply in hip hop, up they are experimental and diverse, covering many genres. Each member is insanely talented and is a musical genius in their own way. Their albums are all concept albums influenced by sociopolitical issues, mental health and psychological theories, philosophy, history, life stages and more.
They have the most insane underdog story I have every heard, and each of them has such an outstanding moral and personal character that they stand as role models for the world.
They have hundreds of songs and an extensive discography, as a group and with solo work. Their body of work has had global social and political impact. They are artists with a message and a mission. Their label motto is “Music and Artists for Healing” and they are out to spread love and healing throughout the world with music.

Hello! I scrolled down your videos and see how you like rap, hiphop and appreciate ballads. BTS aka Bangtan Sonyeondan excels in all those types of music. They write poetic lyrics with references to psychology, philosophy, Korean literature and history. They talk about sociocultural issues relevant to Korea which resonate globally. They have a masterful and clever way of talking about serious topics yet the tempo is upbeat. Then they pull on one's heartstrings with their ballads dedicated to their fans named A.R.M.Y comforting them and uplifting them through the many challenges in life. They have broken and continue to break every discriminatory and prejudiced barrier thrown at them over the past decade of their musical career. The rapline RM, Suga and JHope have been influenced by respected rappers / hiphop artists, musicians in the Korean music industry and the American music industry. BTS members have solo projects - mixtapes, solo albums and singles within BTS albums. Their story is unique and inspiring.
The evidence shows that BTS is a mega force in the global music industry and has transcended beyond the Kpop music industry.
Latest article that shows BTS Take Two being their 12th Digital Songs Sales chart topper surpassing the rankings of Beyonce, Katy Perry and Eminem in this category.

I love watching first time reactors. This is BTS, the group with the largest fan base in the world. Dynamite was at the top of the Billboard 100 for weeks, and knocked themselves off with their next hit Butter, so you've no doubt heard them out and about. They are Korean, I think this was their first 100% English song, so that's your excuse. If you're not sure about the type of music, they sing in at least 10 different genres, with a discography of about 250 of group and solo songs, no two alike. Thanks so much for your reaction, which I found fair and open minded which can sometimes be unusual for new reactors. Don't make the mistake of pigeon holing them in any way, they are very diverse and amazing performers but in real life can be real chaotic and funny. Their history, which has been a hard road for them, made them into a genuine brotherhood and they really love and care for each other. Just real brothers who have been through hell together and made it, through their determination and damn hard work. It's a real tale of the underdog making it big. It's their personalities that make you fall in love with them, and of course the rest is the icing on the cake! As a 54 yr old A.R.M.Y. (fandom name) I can say I'm very proud of them and love them to bits. If you dive further it won't take you long either, I've seen this so many times from everyone! An Intro to the 7 members of BTS (2021) Taylor Mari’s Bangtan 7 (2022): ruclips.net/video/huV_yIdxZPY/видео.html - I HIGHLY recommend this latest one, however I would watch the others first and leave this one for last (just my opinion though, kinda like saving the best for last, or at least the most up to date).
The Rise of Bangtan series of videos (fan made but excellent behind the scenes from pre-debut and ongoing, including history/documentaries re K-Pop and their own vlogs etc. They give an excellent insight into their personalities and really show you their genuineness and authenticity as they speak honestly about what their thoughts/experiences are and what is going on) - it also has bonus content and deleted scenes videos which shouldn’t be missed. ruclips.net/user/TheRiseOfBangtanOfficial
These will give you an idea of who they are and why ARMY (Adorable Representative MC for Youth) love these young men so much! Also Army have no problem with length of videos, we love to follow along and watch your journey. Army will step in to help as long as respect and genuineness is shown. There will always be those that are not genuine Army and some antis will pretend to be to cause division and strife in the comments. Just ignore them, Army are a bunch of lovable encouraging people when they sense that someone really wants to get to know our boys. With ages ranging adolescents (even babies!) to mid 80's from all walks of life and backgrounds you are in good hands!
CC's are a must for their Korean songs to understand the lyrics in English. However the best lyric translations can be found at Doolsetbangtan: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/
A great site for good quality lives with Eng subs (no copyright issues): Enjoy BTS More: ruclips.net/user/EnjoyBTSmorevideos
Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV. Always watch the MV's to the end! It might be a good idea to ask Army for links for the best performances..... some are not as good as others.
They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more.
To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's. Always play the MV's to the end!
NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations.
In Korean culture the surname comes first, then the given name! So, for example their leader is Kim Namjoon, and Namjoon is his first name. Otherwise known as Namjoon or as RM (Real Me) but used to be called Rap Monster. As leader it doesn't mean he's the leader, they all have 'job' titles/roles so to speak. But he represents the interests of the group to the label and vice versa and is the media spokesperson when abroad as he speaks fluent English. The others are learning.

Songs: TAKE NOTHING AT FACE VALUE!
ROOM LIVE (FESTA 2021): ruclips.net/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/видео.html - an annual celebration with Army's, has a medley of their songs from 2013-2020. As we've just had their 10th Anniversary on June 13th this would be kind of appropriate! 😊
    NPR Tiny Desk Concert: ruclips.net/video/gFYAXsa7pe8/видео.html
I'm looking forward to seeing more BTS reactions! Enjoy!

Dynamite , Butter, Permission to Dance, those songs were done mostly in English and they were feel good songs to make people feel good during lockdown in the pandemic, it's not their usual genre. But then again, they boldly defy catagorization.

Just a note: as a beginner, you can also watch their live stage performances. Their live and MVs alwys ives different vibes. They even have Dance Practices for their songs. And... of course, it will give you a different vibe, too.. If you really like them , just be respectful and enjoy the journey of BTS. 🫠

also this song was made during the pandemic to cheer others up! their origin in 2013 used to be hardcore hip hop/rap, but they've done all types of genres including latin pop, ballad, pop, hip hop, electronic and more :) so even if this specific style of song isn't your cup of tea, you have much more to explore!

Thanks for reacting to our boys. I recommend Mic Drop, ON kinetic manifesto film, and Black Swan. I saw you comment that you enjoy rap. BTS has 3 amazing rappers. For rap I suggest 'Ugh' and Cypher pt 3. :)

Thanks for watching this! You very likely have heard this song; it got radio play in the US and I've heard it all over (sports venues, malls, restaurants, etc). As other mentioned, this was put out during the pandemic to uplift everyone. It's an atypical song for them. They started as a hip-hop group, with there being 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. They do all sorts of genres, having over 300 songs. Hope to see more BTS reactions from you!

Surprised that apparently you live in the US and yet you didn't know anything about BTS??? (But it could be possible, i am also a relatively new ARMY, so... I will believe you).
Now, in order to have a better idea who they are and what they do, i recommend you to go through their Korean songs (99,9% of more than 300). 😅
Have fun... They are the best artists in the world (not only because of their music but because of their personalities).

Since you started with one of their Pop songs, I suggest MIC Drop Mix with Steve Aoki (turn on Eng. captions). I think it will give you a glimpse into their versatility. This is such a feel good song that I still love to bop around the house to. 💜

Thanks for your listening to our guys. They are BTS and do many kinds of music, they have over 300 songs , not counting their solo ones.
For most you need to turn on your closed captions so you can get the lyrics.
They are Korean and have been around since 2013.....but have had a tough road that most have never faced. Be Warned!!!
Their fans ate called ARMY....I'm a Silver Army ( over 60 yrs.old ) they are Many and very in age from 13 to 89....we are very supportive and very firce about our guys.
We mostly will be nice and kind, but we will fight if we have to. Like all Large groups, you have your crazies....lolol.
We love to listen to our guys and will always support them, and the people that truly want to listen and learn about them.
There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalist in the group.
If you like rap. . Its RM, Jhope, and Suga/ Agust-D.
There are many songs out there, look up BTS and RM, Suga, or Jhope.
A good one is Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix you might like, be sure it says Steve Aoki remix.
    ON Kentic Manifesto....
Sorry I can't drop links from my phone.
Hope you can enjoy a few more songs and just know if you need anything , Army's are around and can answer your questions.
Please enjoy the music and know you're in for a treat!! ❤❤💜💜💜💜💜💜💜❤❤

Just to get started. I am sure you will enjoy them. In their songs you will usually find serious or deep lyrics, so put on the tje translated subtitles

For their very first full english song they did it perfectly.
Also the fact that every Army right now is being bias wrecked by every member including their bias just goes to show how perfect and amazing these guys are and that they do such an amazing job with what they do as well.

Did you really enjoy dynamite you should have watched it until the video was actually over.
FYI some videos you think it's over and it's not sometimes in the middle of the song it'll seem like it's over and it's not best to watch the video until the time elapsed on the left matches the total time of the video on the right. Example the total time of your reaction video is 6:03 minutes at the point where you stopped watching it and started to talk is 5:43 minutes. At 5:43 I stopped to make this comment, but your reaction video isn't over until 6:03 minutes
