The transmog talk reminded me of when Frans used to talk about the “tower casuals” during the power per hour era.. ..Lego with that awesome mic, thought he was going to break into a Ritchie Valens song at any moment.
They could have done it in one character. I bet because they wanted Yasuke, they had to add an actual Japanese character to go with the theme that usually main character is of the nationality of the setting.
I used LFG through the first two weeks of Pantheon and it went decently. I've already completed the first 3 encounters on week 3 as well. The only issues that I've found is that there is a ton of people who want to do this event that don't have a variety of good weapons for the handful of damage strategies that need to be used to go Platinum and if you want to break the event into several sessions you have to either get lucky and join a group on the encounter you need or use the legacy LFG where you can make a group starting where you want to start, but you'll have less options.
For transmog, I’d love to be able to transmog an exotic, but still have some effect that lets you know what it is (glowy chest for HOIL, glowing serpent over arms for liars, etc)
I get the PvP argument for not allowing transmog on exotics but I don't think that should apply to these exotic class items. At the very least, I hope there are some ornaments for them at launch as I really don't like the look of the hunter cloak. In PvP 1) you won't know what exotic traits they've got on the class items from looking at it anyway 2) warlock bond in particular is so much more subtle than a hunter cloak. If there's no ornaments or transmog, you're going to instantly know you're up against a prismatic hunter but I doubt you'll be able to tell you're against a prismatic titan or warlock until they use some abilities
The enhancable perks on crucible and vanguard weapons is so crazy to me because you can even have like 3 perks in column 3 and 4 for those weapons if you play those playlists enough. Can you upgrade ALL of those perks?
Small reference on the transmog thing around exotics. Not sure if it would help the cause at all as it's an entirely different game...but Diablo 4 just in season 3 green lit the exact concept of taking the visual look of uniques & uber uniques (the D4 equivalent of exotics), & being able to apply them as transmog to anything you want. The thing that I do believe will always be an issue for Destiny on that front...Diablo ripped that band aid off in it's 1st year where no one would raise a fuss 1 way or the other. Destiny trying to rip the same band aid though...while a nothing burger in my opinion, I do think it would be a divided reception. At best. Me personally I wouldn't care either way. I think Watts has the right idea trying to steer that convo towards exotics that do not shade at all or particularly well. THOSE I'd want updated well before any other transmog ideas around exotics.

That Ubisoft has a marketing rhythm is just a matter of expectation, which wasn’t my commentary. There’s no factual right or wrong. It’s like a game being $70 now and saying “games are always $70 now” in response to someone saying games should cost less.
@@FranMirabella Thanks for responding Fran. I agree with wanting to see gameplay but AC has always had a cool cinematic trailer first it's just been their thing. then comes the gameplay trailer. Im not saying formulas can't change but as an AC fan, Ive always loved the cinematic trailer.

I am super excited for AC Shadows. Literally been waiting for this game since 2007.
Hunter exotic perk looks more like those sparrow arc nades rather than skip nades.
If that new High Ground change puts it on a timer, that’s a big nerf.

Lego just needs to find a good Pulse. There are a few that are basically laser beams. Zero recoil.

The pvp argument against tmogging the class exotics doesn't make sense. You will not know what effects the item has by looking at it either way.
