A friend of mine recently lost her job and she said the thing that kept her going was getting up, showered and ready every day, and realizing that her new job was finding a job! I'm so glad to see you are upbeat, active, and strong. Better things are yet to come for you!!
Hi Sophia I like where you placed your tree next to your fireplace it's going to look beautiful when your done decorating it. Love your cat, love cats! They are just lay back pets , and love to cuddle , sometimes lol. Enjoyed watching , thanks for sharing your day.
Wow, what a busy day! I totally agree with you about decorations being in the same spot every year. It creates such a sense of tradition for us and for our kids that they will always treasure.
I get such a kick out of your pets...they are just adorable! Everything is looking beautiful in your home! I'm sure you are enjoying your time being home with the kids! I admire how much you get accomplished in a day!!! Janel in NJ
Hello Sophia, I'm going to start watching your 12 days of Christmas! I love what you said about decorating for Christmas the same every year to create memories. I did watch your Christmas video for 2013 and I loved it! On another note, you have encouraged me to start weight watchers again! Thank you!
Bless your heart for feeding the birds. We've 2 feeders far enough from the kitchen window, that they come throughout the day to eat. Watching their antics as washing dishes, so nice :). Your mantle was lovely before redoing it for the holidays, now with your Christmas decorations is simply beautiful. TY for sharing day 1 of your 12 Days of Christmas. Am looking forward to what is to follow! Take good care and God Bless, Gretchen
Hi sofia I lost several stones ages ago and have kept it off . One tip is if you have an event or family meal planned just fast during the day , eat fruit for breakfast , a salad for lunch and yaay you have nearly all your calories left to enjoy later on so u can pretty much eat a little portion of several things you fancy and still stay relatively within target . Another tip is to eat some fruit and a large glass of water before you leave you will be less likely to go overboard at the event xxx
I loved this! I seriously adored seeing a glimpse into your life, and how you decorated your house. Your boys are adorable, and so sweet! You are so candid and real.
So funny, when you were showing your lunch I heard the harp sound which is what I have on my phone for notifications and so I paused the video looked at my phone and there was no new notifications. So I went back in the video and sure enough the sound is on your phone too. LOL
I'm so excited your doing 12 days of Christmas!!!!! Your little guy is so cute. Does he have one on one lessons? And a dedicated Big guy. 45 minutes of running. WOW. xxx
I so agree with you about the house always looking the same....my parents who are now 90 still have the nativity scene I made as a child out of 'pipe cleaners'! It will remain in my life until the last Christmas I am granted on this earth!
I love this idea of the 12 days of Christmas with you. Im glad to see im not the only one that is just putting up decorations today. I didn't know you had a cat too, he is beautiful. You are right, cats do own you. I have 2 inside cats and feed all the strays that come around. Your decorations look great. You inspired me with some ideas. Keep the videos coming. Have a great day.
I love your DITL's so much that I'm watching you videos from 2014 haha xo I love Christmas decorating and the dog walking. I just love watching your life (12:32 I didn't even know You had a cat)
You are correct in saying that even though we are stay at home Mums we need to have a routine - I find the days seem to fly by! Love the section of the birds on the feeder, - I assume it was a Blue Jay, what a striking bird, we only have a regular Jay in the UK (and they are difficult to spot!). No doubt they are like Magpies, which can be a bit of a noisy pest! What was the red bird - a finch of some sort? Look forward to the rest of the videos in this series. Lorna UK
Jonathan Pountney Most were sparrows, the grey one with the hoop is a grey titmouse. There was also a red crested sparrow. Blue Jays are beautiful but bullies. I am hoping to catch a cardinal with the camera sometimes next week. They do come in to the feeder but are much more aware of movement inside the house than other birds, so they tend to take flight as soon as you move.
My Great Challenge thanks Sophia - certainly some different ones from what we have, we were lucky enough to see a Kingfisher a few weeks ago, in a typical pose sitting on a branch overlooking the river. Really beautiful birds. Hope you get the Cardinal. Lorna
Crystal Tracey She s a real rescue. FOund her under a trailer, completely emaciated with a litter of 6, 2 died. Everyone wanted the kitten but no one wanted the mom, she looked like she would never make it past another week, so I took her home and took a gamble. She s named Vesper (all our pets are named after James Bond villains. that was 5 years ago. She is completely domesticated outside inside cat, takes off comes back takes off comes back. She is smart enough to spend the night at home and pretty much sleeps all day. She s gained her weight back, and is by far the most friendly cat I have ever seen, she'll come and great you and purrs a storm while you pet her. She tolerates the dogs too though you can tell she thinks they are lower life forms...oh the disdain in her eyes.
I really enjoyed looking at your video. Your video has given me the inspiration to put up my Christmas decorations. All of my children are grown now and live outside of the home but I really miss the tree and all of the decorations.
That snow looks so beautiful. I can't begin to imagine living somewhere that it snows. Just want to let you know I'm very excited that you doing these DITL but I probably won't get many watched until after Christmas as we are leaving on a cruise in 2 days. My dogs are on diets too. My Mum always cleans first then showers later too. Me I need to be dressed, but it can just be in workout gear. The house is looking so good.
My dad put a very small hook in the ceiling. Then when he would put up the Christmas tree - he would use fishing line to tie tree. No one could see but the tree was safe from falling over :)
I'm so happy you're doing this! I love your energy. You're very entertaining and relaxing to watch. You're right about cats - they own you, not the other way around! :) can't wait to watch day two! :)
Thank you so much for showing me around your Christmas decorating. Anyway, I thought you might be interested in reading Dr Furhman's, The End of Dieting. I think that you are very smart, wise and brave to use weight watchers. He explains the science behind how we use the calories stored in our fat and lose weight, and says that there are micronutrients and extras. I don't know if it is going to work for me yet but, it was easy to read.
You covered so very much in this video, and I love your decorating style and ideas, I had to watch it again today. I'm learning and appreciate all you share. I've tried poaching eggs, but they were a disaster, now will try again, but will have the water twirled before slipping in the eggs. I wish you could see yourself as your viewers do, You not only invest your time and care in your homes upkeep, but also your family, dogs & cat (the little birds :) ), vlog, blog, face book, twitter, and I don't know what all else. I see you as an innately organized lady, who tweaks the process, according to how life evolves. I was wondering, would a bit of museum putty, better affix your gorgeous Santa and candles to your mantle piece, I don't know, is just a thought. Your swan with his hat and jingle wreath is darling and your Radco tree and stair rails, oh my! Sophia, You are one class act! Gretchen
Robina Gregor Added a string, the kind that you can remove bulbs and it does not stop. So i have half of it wrapped around the garland and the other half is dangling, but off so you can't see it behind the tree.
I had to put my yorkie on a diet, I switched to a low calorie food when I caught her trying to eat the Styrofoam berries out of a Christmas display. To this day she still panic eats at Christmas time.
A friend of mine recently lost her job and she said the thing that kept her going was getting up, showered and ready every day, and realizing that her new job was finding a job! I'm so glad to see you are upbeat, active, and strong. Better things are yet to come for you!!
brightpurpleviking thank you, I do make it a point to put on makeup and dress normally everyday, it sure does help.
So funny! He blames it on the dog & the dog is caught in the act. Love your videos!
Great seeing your mom. You look so much like her. Thanks for sharing your mom.

You are fantastic! You're going upstairs to read...I'd go upstairs and keel over after that full full day. Love how the mantel turned out. So pretty.
Jake92574 Well, there is intention and reality, I did keel over after 5 minutes.
Good idea on the 12 days of Christmas! You cat is sweet & looks really healthy!

Inks did you do the lights in the garland on the stair rail? Did you plug them in or do are they battery operated? Thanks
Robina Gregor Added a string, the kind that you can remove bulbs and it does not stop. So i have half of it wrapped around the garland and the other half is dangling, but off so you can't see it behind the tree.
I am sad, that youtube does not allow like videos more than one. :( I would have sent a lot of likes to your series. :)

My beagle has to lose weight as well. How many times a day do you feed him and how much?
1/2 cup of the weight management twice per day. he s lost some but really needs to walk more
that is what I cut Buddy down to. I love it when your beagle is in the scene, he seems to always be looking for trouble...lol
