    What do you have on your bike to make it more traffic friendly? Horn, lights, signals, mirrors, anything else?

      I have that same light. I wished that the turn signal flashed faster. I've also got a pair of motion activated brake lights mounted to the rear of my rack. They come on when you start to ride and brighten when you come to stop.

    Careful before buying the turn signal backup light guys! The flashing lights on the remote switch is not visable during the day. So it's very hard to tell if you pressed the right, left, laser button etc. on the remote touch pad. I use it during the day by covering the photosensor with electrical tape. But you have to memorize the control buttons, during the day you cannot see the indicator lights. Also battery doesn't last very long. You will need to recharge often. Plus, it is bright.

    • @Antronix3
      @Antronix3 2 месяца назад

      Well the battery doesn't last long in your case because you force it on all the time with the tape.

    Hi, I'm glad ur feeling better these days, and Good Video. I just bought my E Bike a month ago from a local E Bike & E Scooter Shop in my city. I have it custom with a side mirror, Fedog™ horn/alarm, INWA™blue tooth speaker for music, bottle holder with a Thermal bottle, a flat key steel bike U-Lock, CarryBright™front and rear turn signals (it already came with front and rear lights with break lights), a HOMCOM™Trunk, a personalized 'JOE' bicycle license plate and a suspension seat from my old scooter. I use a VCAN™Helmet with a Face Visor most of the time and VCAN™ Open Face Helmet for warm days. I will be adding a phone mount when my handle bar extender arrives which should be later today. :)

    My Rad is really nice now thanks to Bolton, I’m running two of his 52 V 20 amp hour triangle batteries with his controller and color screen in parallel with a Datex2, from Big Game bikes, not exactly your mothers RadRover anymore👋😂 my next upgrade is steel gears, and turn signals, also in the near future I plan on turning it into an all wheel drive beast.

    My stock taillight/brake light is nice, but I added a wireless taillight with turn signals and laser lane guides. It's a different brand and the lasers are pretty bright, but the control buttons are too small to use with gloves. Putting tape over the sensor is pretty getto, and I'm glad I didn't get that one! What I'd really like is a matched set of front and back turn signals.
    I kept the stock headlight for "see me" purposes, and added a Nitecore BR35 headlight with remote switch and hi/low beam function. My bike has a bell built into the brake lever, which is really useful for pedestrians. For cars? Not so much, lol.

    Amazon now has a rear view camera . It's a necessary piece of equipment. Really gets rid of blind spots. I love mine. I also built a rear platform, to hang my pannier bags. was a TV surley tray bolted to the rear platform on the grizzly. Added some dowels to it for the turn signals and camera. And some black gloss spray paint. Looks nice!!!!

    I think the turn signal should "slide" left and right faster. Is it adjustable?
    Great idea, as you may not want to let go of the bars while you're moving.
    Brake lights, too- great idea!
    Though I use a muted bell now, back in the 60's, my buds and I used oogah horns (little curled trumpets with squeeze bulbs) since bicycles were ignored or disfavored then.
    (Shout out to Jack and Don!)
    And we used carbide miner's lamps for headlights! (Miners used these mini-flame-throwers underground where there might be gas?! Shudder!)
    Thanks for your info!

      What we actually need in a camera system that uploads to the cloud and if we get hit or it senses an impact it contacts the police and our family or friends on a trusted contact list.
      I've heard of cyclists that got hit and has their sd card with the footage stolen or the whole gopro. Road range entitle crazies are out there and some even glue decals with how many bikes they has already run over, mostly as a joke, but a very bad tasted one.

    I have a Riese and Muller Load 60 which has a car-like horn that draws from the battery - I have looked into signals that tap the battery. I like to get on my bike and ride, not mess with a bunch of detachable things that need to be recharged. IMO, Ebikes should be more like cars in their convenience and safety. It would be a very competitive move to integrate horns, security and signals that draw needed power from the main battery.

    A cheap bell is a must have as well. Much more pleasant when notifying another pedestrian or biker. These loud horns will change the color of their pants

    • @williamaungleyraud
      @williamaungleyraud 3 года назад +2

      Well I agree and I don't, it depends, I have both a ring bell and a Loud Bicycle Horn, and although the bell helps to keep it friendly to most pedestrians, sometimes when crazy people suddenly j-walk or run in front of me I do use my Loud Bicycle Horn, because they won't care less to hear a bell, but a car horn does imply a sense of urgency for them to move out of they way because they think a car it's going to run them over.
      And right now with so many people wearing noise canceling headphones and earbuds, the bell is basically useless with those people, or people using their phones, they are lost as zombies staring at their phones.
      But I look to use my horn responsibly, I don't honk at people just for the pleasure of disturbing others, and it has a real life difference on how cars and trucks respect you it's by far my very best purchase for my bike and I highly recommend it 😎👍

    Do these gadgets would work on the overfly hummer ebike? My brother gave me a new( or returned by previous owner) overfly hummer e bike so he gave me all the stuff it came with it including front light and tail lights ( brake lights), but I took it to a shop the guy said to me that there are some cables missing in order to connect the front and the brake light and that you can only get it through the manufacturer, so I have not been able to find those cables so I think this is a better solution besides its a hassle because this is a folding e bike and the battery it's inside the frame so I have to bend the bike so I can get the battery out and I don't want to be doing that constantly

    Question for everyone, I bought those (excellent) Handlebarjacks for my ebike and fixed a flat, the brakes are now very tight on the disc I realize I was supposed to press-in the calipers before putting the wheel back on, thought I could maybe skip that...
    I'd just like some opinions, I read in several places never turn a bike with hydraulic brakes upside-down because you may have to bleed the brakes, is that really true or more of an outside possibility?

    My prediction for late 2021 / early 2022: E-bike companies will start offering package options for turn signal (front and back) / horn / brake light / mirror upgrades for their e-bikes when ordering a bike. Bonus points if the light and sound components are powered by the main battery rather than being rechargeable. Extra bonus points if they're hard mounted on the bike or incorporated into the frame or handlebars. Those rubber straps used for aftermarket lights and bells are guaranteed to fail eventually.

    For the horn, it makes a good horn if you're traveling with pedestrians. But for cars, absolutely not. Cars will not be able to hear you with that thing. If you're looking for a bike horn that cars will hear without a doubt, look up Loud Mini Bike Horn.
    As for the taillight, I've had 2 of them and returned both. Turn signals didn't work properly, takes a absurd long time to recharge and it's not water proof so if it gets wet, the unit will be bricked. Good concept but poor execution. I'd rather just buy a dedicated taillight and turn signals that would fit my bike.
