- This is the third episode of Smart Home Automation Series, regarding KNX. In this episode you will learn how to program KNX IP Baos 777 from Weinzierl in order to control your KNX devices using Web Interface, Alexa echo Dot and Axis IP Camera.

NOTE: There are KNX gateways in the market currently compatible with smartphones OS without even touching the smartphone (voice control) like Hey Siri and OK Google and it doesn't need to setup from the beginning. Sir, what is the best KNX actuator for dimming lights?
Is it:
1- Control unit 0-10 V
2- KNX Universal dimming actuator
-3 KNX DALI gateway

It depends on lights. For example if you want to dim 230 Volts Lights you will need a 230V Dimming Actuator. If you want to dim Led Strips 12 or 24 Volts DC you will need a 1-10V Dimming Actuator.

1. What is the difference between "KNX IP Baos 777" and "1Home KNX Bridge "?
2. Which Touch Panel (minimum 10")do you prefer?
1. Baos 777 it is a KNX IP Interface while 1Home Bridge it is a KNX IP Interface + Gateway for Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
2. For touch panel i am using Iridium Panel 7 : iridi.com/panel/
Hello! Thanks a lot for the great tutorial. Please explain me. What type of IP-cameras we need to have to be used by this control you explained - through BAOS 777. Is these cameras should be compatable with ONVIF specification? Thank you.
The camera must be able to send http commands. If you have in mind a certain camera please send it to me and i will check if you can use it with Baos 777.
How would you evaluate wether Weinzierl KNX Baos 777 (IP Router) is more suitable with respect to Weinzierl KNX Baos 774 (IP Interface)? I am planning my knx smart home project and I am not sure how to chose one or another. I want to use it both for ETS programming and connecting alexa/google-home/home-assistant. Not sure if an IP router would be an overkill considering my project is relatively small. Any suggestion?
According your needs, i would recommend to buy Baos 774!

If the software or firmware out dated new firmware update a new version it will be fine or not?

There and no USB Ports on Baos 777.

Thanks for your comment. There will be videos for many KNX devices, so maybe there will be also for these KNX products from Schneider Electric.

Στην αρχή έφτιαξα δύο κανάλια το Poseidwn Tech και το Poseidwn Tech Hellas με σκοπό ότι video κάνω στο Poseidwn Tech να υπάρχει και στα ελληνικά. Το να κάνεις όμως ένα video απαιτεί τόσο κόπο και χρόνο ώστε αναγκάστηκα να εγκαταλείψω το ελληνικό κανάλι και κράτησα μόνο το Poseidwn Tech.
