Genuine question for education. Not argument. What would the oneness response be to Matthew chapter 3 when Jesus gets baptized. God the Father speaks. Spirit is descending on Jesus. It would seem all 3 are together in the same place in different forms at the same time. What is a proper oneness rebuttal to that understand of the Chapter.
Another question for would be how can Jesus be seated at the right hand of the Father ? One seat has to be empty in a oneness belief right? Either Father is there or Jesus is there correct?
I didn't hear either of the two doctors affirm that the man, Jesus Christ as God, wholly Divine. They seemed to be chiefly speaking of a historical Jesus in his humility. I had hoped to hear that the man Jesus is all there is of God, wholly DIVINE.

Thank you! It's alot of theology over factual scripture. There is a clear distinction between father and son in the scriptures, yet they are one. But being one isn't limited to one solitary object or vessel.
I once viewed the topic of oneness as many Apostolics/Pentecostals until I began to read the scriptures for myself. Oneness teachers/theologians loose sight on the truth of the scriptures when they say God is omnipresent, meaning he is everywhere, and invisible because he is a spirit. Yes God is a spirit but he can very well be seen in a designated area and does have a point of focus. For example in Exodus 33 when he hid Moses in the cleft of the rock and hid his face from Moses with his hand (told Moses no one can see God's face and live) and showed Moses his glory through showing just his back. It's very clear God can actually be seen. Let's also remember Genesis 1:27, we were created in the image of God, so when the scripture says Back, hands, and face it is not just symbolic references all the time it actually means what it says, we were actually Fashioned after God (meaning we resemble him and hold attributes of him.) Another error is diluting Acts 7:55-56 when Stephen who was full of the Holyghost (God's Spirit) saw into heaven. Seeing the son of man standing on the right hand of God, even if you want to say "Right Hand" is solely symbolic for Power/Position that still leads to there being a clear distinction between the father and the son. The son of man was bestowed a high position of power alongside the father. After listening to this dialog clearly alot is based on the opinion of theologians and their choice on making the text mean what they what it to mean and not for what it is. Am I Trinitarian? No I'm not. I'm a True oneness believer who believes in the distinction between the father and son, yet that power, will, spirit and authority make them ONE. I don't have time to go into how being ONE is not subject to a single vessel or object, it's a conversation for another day. Blessings.
A couple of friends asked me why do we need to have a glorified body to be with Jesus and to be able to see God in a glorified body if God is spirit and if the spirit of life that is within us is what he gave us from the beginning when he made us from dirt? Is the Soul a different kind of spirit that needs to be in a glorified body to be able to see and be in the presence of God to be redeemed ! It’s something I couldn’t answer completely. He did not said “ baptize them in only ( Jesus Christ ) name? This is the commandment of Jesus Christ, why should it be changed by your sect? In Acts 2:38, the concept of baptism is not only in the name of Jesus Christ, but the apostle Peter is saying here, first confession of sin, then repentance, and then water baptism. Also, the key point here is that Peter the Apostle says; Water baptism does not save, but salvation is possible through Jesus Christ. This is why the Father is NOT AVAILABLE here: the only way to "somehow" see the Father is to SEE JESUS (see the answer to Philip). To believe this theology one would have to ignore a lot of the verses where Jesus is doing the Fathers will, praying to the Father, sent by the Father, etc. I challenge you guys to exegete the Bible over implementing your theology into it.

I once viewed the topic of oneness as many Apostolics/Pentecostals until I began to read the scriptures for myself. Oneness teachers/theologians loose sight on the truth of the scriptures when they say God is omnipresent, meaning he is everywhere, and invisible because he is a spirit. Yes God is a spirit but he can very well be seen in a designated area and does have a point of focus. For example in Exodus 33 when he hid Moses in the cleft of the rock and hid his face from Moses with his hand (told Moses no one can see God's face and live) and showed Moses his glory through showing just his back. It's very clear God can actually be seen.
Let's also remember Genesis 1:27, we were created in the image of God, so when the scripture says Back, hands, and face it is not just symbolic references all the time it actually means what it says, we were actually Fashioned after God (meaning we resemble him and hold attributes of him.)
Another error is diluting Acts 7:55-56 when Stephen who was full of the Holyghost (God's Spirit) saw into heaven. Seeing the son of man standing on the right hand of God, even if you want to say "Right Hand" is solely symbolic for Power/Position that still leads to there being a clear distinction between the father and the son. The son of man was bestowed a high position of power alongside the father. After listening to this dialog clearly alot is based on the opinion of theologians and their choice on making the text mean what they what it to mean and not for what it is. Am I Trinitarian? No I'm not. I'm a True oneness believer who believes in the distinction between the father and son, yet that power, will, spirit and authority make them ONE. I don't have time to go into how being ONE is not subject to a single vessel or object, it's a conversation for another day. Blessings.

A couple of friends asked me why do we need to have a glorified body to be with Jesus and to be able to see God in a glorified body if God is spirit and if the spirit of life that is within us is what he gave us from the beginning when he made us from dirt? Is the Soul a different kind of spirit that needs to be in a glorified body to be able to see and be in the presence of God to be redeemed ! It’s something I couldn’t answer completely. Here he clearly talks about the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and says that water baptism should be given on this basis. He did not said “ baptize them in only ( Jesus Christ ) name?
This is the commandment of Jesus Christ, why should it be changed by your sect?
In Acts 2:38, the concept of baptism is not only in the name of Jesus Christ, but the apostle Peter is saying here, first confession of sin, then repentance, and then water baptism. Also, the key point here is that Peter the Apostle says; Water baptism does not save, but salvation is possible through Jesus Christ. This verse has nothing to do with water baptism only in the name of Jesus Christ.

John 17:24-25 " ...for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; "
The whole passage is IN THE PAST. In the passage we can see a WORLD vs. JESUS CONFRONTATION : in this confrontation Jesus succeeded in knowing the Father, whilst the world FAILED instead. But WHY did the world fail ? The easy answer is in the same passage : the Father is "before the foundation of the world". Since the Father is BEFORE, He is antecedent and therefore cannot be known by the world: in other words Father and world did not exist at the same time. This means that Jesus WINS this confrontation: on the contrary He is ABLE to know the Father. Why? Of course because Jesus is OLDER than the world and was thus able to know the Father. This means that no other Being saw God. "No one has ever seen God" (John 1:18). The meaning of all that is extremely important : the almighty GOD ONLY EXISTED IN THAT REMOTE PAST.
This is why the Father is NOT AVAILABLE here: the only way to "somehow" see the Father is to SEE JESUS (see the answer to Philip). The almighty God cannot "disappear" though: He dropped his power and became like a normal man : Jesus "He who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9). Thus, now Jesus is ALONE and has "all things into his hand" (John 3:35). This is why the Father is here just in the LIMITED FORM of a spirit ("God is a spirit" John 4:24).(When you have someone on the phone, he is in LIMITED FORM in your room, you can talk to, but not touch him).
