Big time apology will be due to Poch if Maresca's team somehow finish 6th or lower. Unlike Poch, Maresca's team is getting progressively worse, doesn't have a lack of experience or injury crisis as an excuse, and never lost to Guardiola in the PL. They have had a better start this season but losing 14 points from a winning position so far is utterly inexcusable and on the manager. The warning signs were there in the narrow wins against Newcastle, Brentford, Leicester, Tottenham, this team doesn't know how to finish off games and is not learning from it at all.

It's telling that our 1 win in 7 coincides with Jackson last scoring. Goals are momentum swings and momentum is everything in Football. Goals change games end of, it's cliché for a reason. Newcastle's run is arguably down to Isak. His goals have been crucial to turning the tide or cementing games, likewise Haaland. I actually now regret not going for Omorodian or even Duran. I've been Jackson's biggest advocate for the longest time but sadly this Chelsea squad isn't conducive for burgeoning talents and we just don't have the time or environment now. Under Poch, arguably everyone improved. For all of Poch's faults and failings for "too much running", our teams were extremely fit and sustained the fight throughout the 90mins. We were scoring late goals and running teams ragged. Now we barely have a good second half in games. One thing that we could've hung our hats on with Poch is he's a squad builder, a talent nurturer. A somewhat father-figure to the players. He turned good talents into world class, took a mediocre Spurs and turned them into title challengers. Most of all he knew how to remain competitive in a 5-year period. Sure, his methods were somewhat outdated but I'd gladly take Poch's chaotic and high-energy football than this tactical ineptitude. Name a player under Maresca who's done even marginally better than in Poch's last few months. Poch was a known quantity, with Maresca can we even turn it around? Is his stern tactics a hinderance for a players low on confidence? We don't know.

Chelsea's GK is genuinely mental btw.
This club has spent around 80-90 million total on the four or five different keepers in their squad, most of them are off on loan playing well, and they went with probably one of the worse ones in Sanchez for their main starter.
If they had that much money to spare for GKs alone, why would they not sign one or two top level GKs, instead of signing five, of which not one of them is good enough to start for a Premier League club in top 4 conversations? It's so strange.
What's even stranger now is how Sanchez continues to consistently make massive errors that lead to them conceding, but they don't seem in any kind of rush to replace him.

I know it is easy to say know but Chelsea's performance in the first half of the season often felt to me like they were overachieving compared to their actual displays. Take the Brighton game, for example - they won 4-2, but it wasn’t dominant. A penalty, a free-kick screamer from Palmer, and a questionable goal from a rolling-ball goal kick (that should have been disallowed) shouldn’t overshadow a performance that didn’t match the scoreline.
The Tottenham game was similar: down 2-0 but handed two penalties en route to a 4-3 win, courtesy of some shocking defending.
Noni Madueke is another example of a player that has kept getting away with it the whole season - now he scored a tap-in against City but contributed little else, with Gvardiol consistently exploiting his side. Yet, he still gets good ratings for one moment of impact - which is more than he usually does.
And then there’s Maresca’s tactical choices. For instance, pushing Gusto into a No. 10 role in attack (like Rico Lewis sometimes at City) for some games earlier in the season makes little sense when he doesn’t score or assist. With so many creative players available, why rely on a fullback for that role?! Maybe it’s just too clever for me to get.

While City have real depth and versatile players, they have the smallest squad of experienced first team players. In fact, the smallest squad. Apart from City's initial spend at Gaurdiolas inception, the coming in have been replacements. We all saw what teams did to City's lack of defence with Stones, Walker, Ake injured and now Ruben Dias with niggles. With Grealish unfit, and now subsequent injury with Doku, the additional team members are understandable. While Gvardiol (❤) played along the wings during those first 6 games when the injuries were not yet as rife, pep played him more in position as a left back during the heavy injury-heavy games. More team members are needed. The squad needs to get bigger. The whole of City players, bar Haaland, play internationals. Marmoush is gonna be big! 🎉

Im here as a Chelsea fan to say, our slump started when Tinashe made a video about us. The Tinash curse is real. Look at Nottingham Forest now, they've lost 2 already after he made a video about them.
Please make a video about Liverpool man, you owe us

Why is everyone not showing the studs down the ankle image for the Lewis Skelly red card. May disagree about the red, but show the image the officials would have reviewed, dont be disingenuous.

The red card against Arsenal was unreal, man. Even coming out of M. Oliver who clearly loves to hand over red cards to Gunners.
But hey, at least this time we saw Arteta actually taking some risks and instructing his team to keep attacking, even one man down.
Here's hoping we do well against City next week!

Nah mate, simple math……. Chelsea’s gaffa is a Pep student, Pep played long ball brexit tactics, Chelsea’s gaffa didn’t switch up…. 3-1

Rashford is a great person who is very philanthropic. But, he isn't doing justice to the 300,000£ he is earning every week. Don't these people get sick everytime their bank gets the money while they haven't done sh*t

why the worry lol. most of the time, it's the manager/coach who will get the axe, not them. the team can't do much anyway because pretty much no other teams can match their wages (hence they're still with the team) and most probably the team have to pay the remaining wages if they terminate the contract early.

Chelsea cursed his own keepers after how they prioritized the snake instead of a club legend in Cech, truly the last time I remember them having world class keepers
