2nd Half, Presidents Cup 1st Round, Whitletts v Tass Blue 2009 27th January 2024

2nd half much the same as the 1st with both teams committed to building up, passing & attacking. Again both keepers making important saves. In the 49th minute Tass were on the attack with Jamie Noble through on the keeper with a defender beside him & unfortunately the defender got to the ball 1st & put the ball past his keeper to make it 1-2. Jack Clifford was given a yellow card before Charlie Frearson & Whitletts No5 were given a yellow card each for some shenanigans in the box before the free kick. Whitletts had another free kick & hit the post before Tass increased the scoring in the 59th minute when a through ball from Daisy Archer was finished off by Stephen Jamieson who rounded the keeper to score & make it 1-3. Both teams still putting on a good game & Whitletts puled a goal back in the 65th minute when Mason Hughes scored from inside the 6 yard box to make it 2-3. Jamie McQuade was given a yellow card for kicking the ball away. Tass keeper Josh made a great save to fingertip the ball past the post. Tass did have the ball in the net in the last few minutes but it was disallowed for offside, then Stephen jamieson was yellow carded for kicking the ball away.
