As per the the speculation with TT2: there have been a lot of videos floating around as to what is actually going on, and at this point a lot of people are using it as an opportunity for clickbait/a hot topic to discuss! I appreciate you guys taking the time to say that this was only your predictions/speculation. However, whatever is happening on TT2 is not likely due to the wind or cold (imho) if you take a look at any of the coverage on it, the train was hauling a** over that top hat, and in fact that was relatively cold weather! In fact this makes perfect sense with what's going on with these giant new wheels from Zamperla's new train design (if seen at IAPPA, these wheels are HUGE), especially compared to the original TTD. When the trains crest the top hat at such a speed (and according to several creators such as Coaster Studios or other people who have reported that it is hauling), and mind you, this is in the cold, the load bearing shifts drastically from the road wheels to the unstop wheels (those which keep the train lodged to the track during moments of intense negative G's aka airtime) and then slams right back down, this may cause some inconsistent alignment which the tolerances of the wheel base weren't designed for. Given that this is a new train, it is likely that a lot of this may have been "adjusted" and/or discovered during technical rehearsal, but so much of it involved unpredictable factors. Additionally, given that TT2 uses a swing launch, the guide wheels have to be perfectly aligned to allow the perfect amount of tolerances, and if the train is experiencing more stress than predicted even in a minuscule way, it can cause the wheel base to become slightly misaligned each time the train cycles. Since it is a swing launch, the wheels have to be perfectly forward facing and symmetrical (no toe-in or toe-out) unlike on LIM launches, where there is a different type of tolerance around the launch mechanism. Keep in mind that the original track was designed for a hydraulic launch as you all mentioned, so there is a lot of room for error in the retro-fit! The other possibility is the alignment of the stater with the LIM fins. it is likely they would take the entire ride down (rather than just one train for ex.) if they didn't know which train was causing the wrong clearance or possibly even contact with the fins, which would be necessary to conduct some very in depth inspection.
My guess is it has something to do with those wheels. I have never seen heels that massive on a coaster! Imagine being a hair off in alignment, how much more magnified that misalignment is on a larger scale! There is likely a guide-wheel adjustment needed or a stater/LIM fin inspection needed!
