You might need to update both title and description, as this may be confused with direct drive wheel from Logitech. The wheel on the right is Driving Force Pro.
The G29 is not Direct Drive though. Direct drive has the motor directly attached to the steering shaft. The G29 and various other models are all Gear driven by dual motors on each side of the base, connecting to one large gear on the steering shaft.
@@SushiMementoMoriwtf, who said G29 is DD wheel? OP said that video creator is confusing people by using Logitech Pro name, which may lead to some people think that it’s Logitech Driving Pro steering wheel, which is DD.
Yes it's still a good driving wheel but i don't have driving force when i try to play some games on my pc with it, even with drivers. Can someone help me ?
You can make the driving force pro do the exact same startup sequence. You can lock it to two different degrees of rotation. Press select+r3+right shift paddle. Also its not supposed to be that slow, theres something wrong with it.
Yh I have one still just cuz u don’t tend to part with those things 😂. I also have a thrustmaster 450rs or something I don’t even remember. Both will equally on startup hit that end point hard and quick.
@JoaoLopes-1982 if I had to guess the grease in the plastic gearbox has dried out or got too warm and pulled in the wrong place. Now the gearbox is quickly wearing out.
I have one and it supports 900 degrees, has decent force feedback, and definitely isn't that slow, although it is noticably slower than the newer models
funfact - the "newer" model has the right amount of movement (2 1/2 circles from one side to the other), while the old one has only 1/2... but nice that they have a calibration-function.
I used to play Gran Turismo 4 with my dad on that older wheel. I still use it for Euro Truck sim and Farming Sim. The longevity of it really made me trust Logitech products.
Yeah exactly, and since it is 2025, budget direct drive wheels are out there now, like those offered by Moza, and they thoroughly out perform the 920 in every way, to the extent that I can't really recommend it anymore, I tell people to just save your money for a little longer and get an R5, it's so worth it.
I've got a G27 and a G920. The G920 pedals have always been strange and the steering wheel makes a screeching noise when I turn it to the left. I've had it since 2018. On the other hand, my G27 that I've had since 2014 is good as new!
I've finally upgraded to a Moza R5, which is a budget direct drive wheel, and holy fuck, now days, just never ever by a geared drivetrain sim wheel, save your money for just a little longer, and get a budget direct drive wheel. They are way cheaper than they used to be, got mine for 500$, and the quality of the experience and the hardware is drastically better. That 920 is so god damn slow that it holds you back, but you'll have no idea just how much it holds you back until you've experienced what a direct drive wheel is capable of.
I have 2 of those wheels on the right, my dad got them when I was a kid along with a Ps2 and we would hook them up in front of our tv and play split screen nascar :)
..Cannot stress enough how much better the Fanatec/Moza bundles are than buying a G29/920/923. It's worth the extra $100. (Coming from someone who went from a G29>CSL DD)
Fanatec has been my favorite for years. I started off with a Fanatec CSL Elite bundle in 2020 and in 2021 I said, “Screw it” and built out a full cockpit with a DD1 base, Clubsport V3 pedals, a V1.5 shifter and an assortment of steering wheels (F1 & GT styles).
I gotta t300 gt and it’s so nice. Bought it off a guy from Texas he shipped it to me bubble wrapped in a crockpot box 🤣surprisingly it still works just as well as it did the day I got it maybe 3-4 years ago
They did startup calibration procedure. DFP has 2 modes of rotation. The right LED will be lit on 900 degree mode. Te left LED is calibration status. The changeover is clunky.
“Ah, the…..”good?” ol’ days.” I miss playing GT3 on an old intect pro mini (had to look that up), no pedals just buttons on the wheel JANK AF but it was a vibe man!
i still have my gran turismo logictec wheel from gran turismo 3 A-spec, i wish it was better supported because it still functions the same as any 180 degree wheel
I forgot how noisy those wheels are. Not a bad wheel to start imo but if I had to do it again I'd spend that little extra for the TMX leather I currently own (Never tried direct drive since I don't play nearly enough to justify the expense of buying yet another wheel)
I have an old Logitech momo racing wheel from sometime around 05. Still use it occasionally, but I’d like to upgrade. But I played so much NFS on that bad boy back in the day.
So stuff gets better after 20 years, it's almost like technology is improving with time, but seriously todays home rigs are better than arcade driver sims from 15 or just 10 years ago.
They're both good wheels. The driving force pro on the right is just broken, it's definitely not that slow. It's got great force feedback on the cheap and an ability to toggle between the 180 degrees on video and 900 degree motion.

Yo tengo ese mismo, sigue como el primer día, 👌

i have the older one its a setting in the software he doesnt have it set right.
Incorrect, not a fact. It's just locked to 180 degrees which is a function it has. There's a button sequence that toggles between these modes.
Cause its belt drive, you don't have calibration on DD wheels
