  • WATCH: Police interrogation footage shows “Making a Murderer” subject Brendan Ray Dassey’s confession in the murder of Teresa Halbach in 2005. Dassey later recanted the confession during his 2007 trial before a jury found him guilty and he was sentenced to life in prison. Over the last decade, Dassey’s legal team has continuously tried to overturn the conviction citing the confession wasn’t obtained properly.

There was no evidence other than this and another forced confession when he was pressured by his lown lawyer to write it down along with a picture of what the scence looked like. He was then told to call his mother and tell her. these 3 key things sure what was used to convict him. Them 2 investigators were really questioned by many of the attorneys on how they questioned him! And led him to say things! They lied to him and told him that Steven was going to blame everything on him! That’s one of the first things you can hear them tell him! You can tell by the questions that he asked that he wasn’t mentally capable of answering questions like that! He should have had an adult/guardian or attorney well maybe both with him during this!!! They just wanted a conviction!!! Just like they did with Steven! I really liked watching both seasons on Netflix! This poor boy, well man now, is innocent!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

At 2:10, Brendan is asked if he disagrees that Teresa has a tattoo on her stomach.
He replied "No, but I don't know what it was." meaning he saw it, but didn't know what it was.
The transcript has it as "where it was" meaning he did not see.
This was used as confirmation that he was simply not adopting all their suggestions allowing the statement to be used at court. This incorrect transcript was also used by the state during his appeals.
It could be said that Brendan is in prison because of an error in the transcript.

Who’s more heartless lol you haven’t met me yet or heard my views 😅 lol I think you’re both intelligent and brilliant at your jobs. Before I found your channel or match channel, I was into celebrity, gossip, and just tutorial videos on RUclips.
It’s a relief to watch people who share the same views as I do, and care for humanity as much as I do. Heartless no, you’re not heartless you’re more of a realist, and I believe you’re both optimistic and love this country, and that’s how I would describe myself as well.
I will say pregnant. Candace is a lot more tougher lol I love it. Admire your braveness and always wishing you and your family well. Matt we love you too!!!

Totally agree. It is sad, he seems like a kid with Down syndrome. There so sweet and not violent in any way. I don’t know how the cops or judges can sleep at night. I honestly think they sacrifice Brendan to have a stronger case against Avery. Don’t forget they had 30 million reasons to make sure Avery was found guilty. ( even though I believe HE Is) . Brendan was sacrificed,

But he had ALREADY confessed to his cousin Kayla that he saw Teresa in Avery's bedroom, helped move her and watched her burn in the bonfire. That is what brought him to this interrogation. I don't believe the more salacious elements of his confession, but he WAS there.
