I just came across this band and i must say this song is the greatest song i have heard in years! Her voice is amazing and the musicians are fucking brilliant aswell!!!!
Sorry to the other 5 million fans who don't know about this group - they are missing out! This is my 4th video (late starter) listening to Light Bringer, and it seems their name should have been Fuki and the Light Bringer... she is equal to several female vocalists in European metal bands.
A few reasons. Licensing Agreements. In the US the big three record labels (Sony, Warner, Universal) own something like 80% of the music. In Japan the big record labels only own something like 30% of the music & there are a lot of smaller labels & indie labels. Which means Spotify would have a long list of companies to speak to. A lot of music is on youtube for one for free. Also it's a different situation in Japan in attitudes to music streaming. We know Japan is very technologically advanced & there is a Japanese itunes, but music streaming & digital audio is not really that popular there. People prefer to buy CD's.
You can hear Fuki's voice with Unlucky Morpheus, Doll$Boxx, Fuki Commune, and many one shot collaborations she makes. Almost all of it is amazing as she is a totally amazing singer, but I think Lightbringer was the band which really used her voice at its peak.
It's funny to see how people love Fuki in Light Bringer and how people hate Fuki in Unlucky Morpheus. At least now she has the respect that she deserves.
I've only heard her in these, DOLL$BOXX and Dragon Guardian. She's stunning in all 3. Thanks for the tip off on Unlucky Morpheus though. I can't get enough of her vocals.
I believe Unlucky Morpheus has evolved into something amazing. They have improved tremendously, check out their new album Change of Generation, technical and powerful, surpassing Light Bringer in my opinion.
@neeDazzle there's an mp3 download on JapanFiles with a link to the actual CD on CDJapan, but I can't find it there. If you really want a physical copy you could find a Japanese retailer and pay White Rabbit Express to do the hard work
Yeah, it really is.. Dragonforce is just that what you want to hear from Power Metal, bands like LIGHT BRINGER, SKYWINGS, GALNERYUS etc are just to perform the perfect mix out of neo classical elements, power metal and their visual key style. Probably the most awesome music in the world, though i'm usually listening to international Prog and Tech Death..
