I believe they are so strict with the copyright because "embrace the dark" hasn't actually been released yet. I know they've had a lot of problems with people just reuploading just the songs cutting the rest out :/ Hopefully when the songs are released they will relax a little bit
Yes, I'm with you here @bradk2246, as far as I know, the only problem is with unreleased songs. There should not be a problem after the actual release of the song.
This song "Embrace the Dark" (the 2nd one here) by Ghost Stories is one of my absolute favorites right now. And if you forgot, Ghost Stories is one that you reacted not that long ago from Defqon.1 2022, where they had these white outfits and masks with the singer (Evelyn). The vocals are just perfect when Evelyn has the mic and D-Block & S-Te-Fan come up with these incredible sounds. Then when it is put up perfectly for a show in closing ritual - just out of this world. It just hits me in the right spots...was crying a lot, when I first saw and heard this in the closing ritual. Hopefully it will be soon officially released, so no more copyright stuff with this one. Thank you D for reacting to Defqon.1 stuff, makes me super happy! EDIT: That "lightning" made by fireworks is sooo freaking amazing, I can't say how much I love that. And in the 2nd climax those lasers are just point on. Perfect!
This years Defqon was my 3rd. I take the week after off work👍 but worse is the PDDS(Post Defqon Depression Syndrome) that hits hard the following weeks😪

Nevertheless the staff handled it pretty well in my opinion, and that's why I'd like to think it was just Phoenix (from 2022) bringing hot ashes (to rise again) with her along the way. Therefore nothing bad happened and it made this set even more fire. You know? 😂
The left right at the end somehow ruined the closing ritual moment. Doing that crowd game in the dark was a big challenge and who knows what could have happen and go wrong .... tho seeing it in the video from above is nice, still the ceremony should have had another ending ...
I see this one has a lot of different opinions. I just have to say that most people are most likely exhausted from 4 days already and then this happens, but on the other hand it was beautiful. I think it's kind of okay to do this on the night time, but maybe not on the final day, nevertheless in the closing ritual.
@@Larewz not to forget that the day visitors may not even know what this is about. Exhausted yea, had a sunstroke right after the powerhour and slept the rest of the saturday. Barely managed to find a bad spot at the Endshow 😅
it was totally nuts and I have been in the crowd... (and before the "def qon one" mentioning in the last track started I noticed the slowed down start of the left right and tried to organise our "ball of people" into a line... it was wild, it was wet, it was cold and crazy... but we survived and it was simply mindblowing that this actually happened yes, you don't expect this for a closing ritual as last memory of defqon.1 but still... this year was totally different than last year and last year was crazy
Great to see you react to this stuff. My hard dance is Hard house, but alot of my mates love this stuff. A huge big up, for the St Vincent flag over your left shoulder too. Ive not done Defqon, but know what a 4 day hard dance festival is like. I'm a Tidy regular Great point of view of the reaction to music. I am pretty sure that the song being blocked is because it isnt released yet, it should be fine once the song is officially released.
