    Yeah I noticed the same thing last year it just seems like paparex lacks discipline in general and are always looking to go on the the aggression and make plays when it’s not necessary at times but to be fair to them they usually win the gun fights that’s why they got way with this play style last year

    • @sebirt
      @sebirt Год назад +15

      but when they got away with that it was usually supported and utility usage. here you will see forsaken just peeking off without any util and dieing but in 2022 remember that ascent fnatic map jing satcheling into a main with fade recon, astra smoke and etc.

    There's a difference between the aggression that made PRX so good and the aggression that's just throwing.
    PRX used to be aggressive with utility to back them up, but now they just dry swing and hope for some timings

      @343JustMe Год назад

      they were obviously throwing. Theres no finalist team that drops off this hard this soon. They just didnt care about this tourney

    I love this team, they were the ones to really put our region on the map. Aggression can be a double edged sword, and now that everyone in any region prepares for them in any LAN, it is now showing their cracks. I think it was d4v4i who said in an interview, they're trying to slow things down a bit add some discipline in their playstyle at least we know that they're aware and trying to do something about it. The thing about Pacific teams is that whenever they lose or have a disappointing showing, they come back stronger. We hope for the redemption arc of PRX.

    As a prx fan who watched Copenhagen, they just don’t have the set ups they used to have. It used to be completely chaotic every entry, and go in our favor, but champs and lock in we’ve shown that the chaos can go against us

    • @kieieiee9343
      @kieieiee9343 Год назад

      you are foolish if you think that their exact chaotic style will win them events again in 2023. they have to adapt to the metas and find a balance between chaos and slow play

  • @rusyxd3390

    kinda sad seeing most of the fanbases were being too defensive towards them after not just losing but not even putting up a fight against them. They just got worse from champions to lock in.

    there were so many winnable rounds for PRX but their aggression just didn’t have any util or any support behind them… most of it was just dry peeking the enemy thinking they can catch them off guard
    the 1v3 Xeppaa clutch shouldnt have happened in the first place but they were so eager to take the fight and not wait to hold a crossfire… DRX put up a masterclass in how to play Pearl in their first series so even if PRX won they wouldn’t have even come close to beating their next opponent

    totally agree but this might tell lower ranked players who are trying to learn the game that aggression is NEVER good...
    just want to add that aggression is defintely good just not when everyone expects you to do it and thats the problem with prx... their aggression is so good and unexpected in comarison to other teams that everyone who knows theyre facing prx preps for this in particular and is just waiting for that aggression especially when u have the ads god himself yay on your team who wins almost every fight where hes the one holding the angle
    if that guy is ready for u to swing him ur fcked and i rlly love prx and i hate that theyre aggression cant always work but they sadly have to switch it up and include some more passive strats in their book to be a top team again

  • @slurpfung906
    @slurpfung906 Год назад +1

    One of the big problems why this Paper Rex looks downright sloppy compared to their planned aggression that we love from old Paper Rex is because they never seem to forget that they have abilities when they dry peek people, it's like they expect to win from pure ego aim instead of carefully placed utility, when you have fade haunts, astra sucks raze grenade I don't fucking understand why you would dry peek without utility

  • @flondxd

    if you play in SEA servers, this type of aggression is pretty normal. Especially the ego peeks

    Xeppa played like a monster, that's why PRX lost. It's not their strat which works really well for them when they win duels.

  • @hmmm4262
    @hmmm4262 Год назад

    Yeah, i actually agree with you. PRX played like me, a heckin silver, in lock in. Their old play style resembles an organized chaos which has this unpredictable aura yet still has this tactical feel to it but for lock in they played like a normal silver on sea server, always ego picking and doing whatever they want without thinking of a plan. As a fan from SEA, i'm kinda disappointed at them.

  • @SA1N_YT
    @SA1N_YT Год назад

    I think TMV did a great job of how they got 2-0. Usually the PRX aggression WORKS because it’s utility based. But against C9 they were taking a lot of dry fights

    i think they don't have any motivation to win the lock/in event. since all of the plays they made are experimental in nature. that's why they are so aggressive and always takes every duel they can find. even in post plant situation, they might be testing the waters if they can still caught them off guard or they are now much more resilient to that kind of plays. and I think they succeeded in their goal, they might be much more scary in vct champions

      can relate to the end of this comment and the coping as an APAC fan, we need to see them go back to some of their more defensive/neutral style back in 2021 before they had jinggg. hopefully they just didn't want to show much given how the tournament is almost a massive showmatch with the single elim format and how it doesn't help them in the pacific league in terms of points (to my knowledge at least). firepower wise they are more than capable of winning LANs but they need to mix in the efficient and clinical playstyle that optic/drx/fnatic have, even if it is not as fun to do.
