The K6 is unusual in that it has two mediums. I found the MS too tight and the ML too loose. As for how it relates to the Shark, it would depend which size you are. Cheers, Tony
@@sportsbikeshop I wear the ML in the K6. it was fairly snug to begin with, but now that the pads are worn, it is loose. Based on this, Do you think it will fit ok? I know it is tough without me going on to try on but I just thought I would check with you. Thanks
i am not pleased from my gt air 2,the lower part of the cheekpads dezintagrated very quicly and i found it having very poor ventilation.i put this on my head and felt the interior quality much better than the shoei.my question is,do you think that the air intakes to this helmet will work good at a standing straight posotion like an adventure bike, cause ikt does look a little sportier.thanks in advance!great review as always!
Hi, I've worn this helmet on a wide range of bikes and as long as air can get past the screen and reach the intakes then I find the ventilation to be effective when sat upright. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony
Thanks a lot Tony,it helps,I just put an order for a carbon one, because though I liked other helmets a bit more ,like the Quantic for example, the shark fit my head like it was tailor fitted so I think it will be a good buy.cheers 👍
Our measurements show there's no difference in height or width of the two shells (266mm height, 257mm width), but the shell on the large helmet is 10mm longer than the shell on the medium helmet (medium 380mm, large 390mm). Visually, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope this helps. Cheers, Tony
I can't say for sure, but Shark's fit is generally considered to better suit a round head. That's what I have, and this helmet suits it very well. Cheers, Tony
Very well made and featured helmet, but the angle of the top edge of the vz300 visor concentrated the sun to a single point, when riding towards it. This was very distracting and I was going to reject the helmet, but a strip of tape stuck along the top of the visor fortunately cured it. Shouldn't have been required on a £67 visor though.
Do they both have MIPS? Why is the brand new i3 way much cheaper than the GT's even tho it has more tech in it? The GT's should have at least 5 stars given the price of them
Neither of these helmets have MIPS. This helmet has a fibre shell rather than the plastic shell of the i3, which is the biggest contributor to the extra cost. The lining is made from a superior material, the Pinlock is of a higher grade, it has D-rings for the strap rather than the micrometric in the i3. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony
The fit on this one is a little more enveloping, and the lining fabric is smoother. The GT Pro is more aimed at distance riding, while the Spartan RS is more of a sporty road lid that has a more aggressive street style. Cheers, Tony
I had the old Spartan Carbon. Best helmet I ever bought, nicely made with almost perfect ventilation (I wear eyeglasses and the huge amount of air coming through the inner front vent did help to eliminate fogginess). BUT, this s@@t does not fit my oval head, it is for more rounded shapes.....
I would say this helmet is a bit sportier than the GT-Air II, which sits a bit more at the touring end. This has D-rings where the Shoei has a micrometric strap fastener, and you'll find it easier to fit a generic intercom to this one, because the Shoei's preparation for the SRL system makes it tricky to fit anything else. I find the finish to be higher on the Shoei and I would expect it to stand up to a lot of use a bit better than the Shark. I feel fit is always the most important aspect and if the fit for this is right for you, and for the Shoei it's not, then this is the better helmet for you. Cheers, Tony
Hi, we don't go into detail about noise because I have no way of knowing what it'll be like in your particular circumstances, or what you consider to be noisy/quiet. I found it to be fine for me, but it's impossible to say it'll be the same for you. Cheers, Tony
Just got mine, only tested at home, and although I was measured M in the shop, this is extremely tight a and hard to put on/remove. Is there any adjustments?
There aren't any adjustments. Take a look at our video about working out whether the fit is right/wrong and if it's not right then best to go back to the shop... ruclips.net/video/ypBSvaiQEcs/видео.html Cheers, Tony
Hey thanks for the review, I had two question. 1: would I be able to use the cardo edge clip on the shell? 2 : what shape head is the helmet designed for? Thank you.
Hi, I think you'd be fine to fit an Edge to this helmet using the clip. As for head shape, Shark don't list it but I have a round head and I found this helmet to be very comfortable. I hope that helps. Cheers, Tony
How does the helmet fit compared to the AGV k6? That helmet worked for my head. I hope this is the same fitting as the AGV.

Can you please review shark race r pro gp 06?
It's on the list. I reckon that would need some track time to test it, which would obviously be a great hardship 😉 Cheers, Tony
